My experience with this notary was extremely distressing during an already overwhelming time. I hired her to notarize paperwork for my mother, who is recovering from a full resection of a grade 4 glioblastoma. Instead of providing professionalism or support, she questioned my intentions in obtaining a Power of Attorney for my mother, despite my mother being alert, oriented, and capable of signing. I explained that I am pursuing a degree in social work and that human dignity is central to me, but the questioning continued and added unnecessary stress.
After the appointment, my husband left an honest review describing our experience. In response, the notary contacted us directly and sent messages referencing my deceased father because his name appeared in an older document. This was deeply inappropriate and upsetting. My husband, Kris Kaiser, has uploaded screenshots of these messages as proof.
Her public response to my husband's review was also highly inappropriate and added even more stress during a time when my family is already dealing with a devastating medical crisis. The original response publicly offered a refund and stated that staff conduct would be addressed, but after texting and contacting me directly in a way that felt harassing, the owner changed her public response. This inconsistency added to the confusion and distress.
I also want to note that I did not receive a refund for this service. Despite the unprofessional behavior and the emotional distress caused, the notary still kept the payment. I left the interaction feeling upset, confused, and even more overwhelmed than before.
I simply needed help finalizing paperwork so I could care for my mother while she processes a recent cancer diagnosis. Instead, this notary's behavior created additional emotional strain at a time when compassion and professionalism were needed most.
I am genuinely saddened by how this was handled. read more
