I recently went to a wedding at Watermen's Hall in London and was so impressed with the venue and staff I had to write a review.
Tucked away in a small street in EC3 is this gorgeous, Georgian (wasn't he a wrestler?) venue. It was a perfect backdrop for a bohemian/avantgarde weddding. It's smallish but quite grandly decorated and with loads of charm. Check out the photos on the website. It seems they do a whole wedding package service and having sampled it... it's great! I have no idea what it costs though.. http://www.watermenshall.co.uk/wedding-planning
The staff were so efficient and helpful. The food was lovely. The vegetarian options were AWESOME!!
It's not huge so you're only talking about 70 guests. They cleverly recycle the rooms from wedding venue to dining to dance area during the day.
The wedding had 2 "thrones" for the bride and groom and there's another huge throne type chair in one of the other rooms... of course i had my photo taken on that one. It's in the Court Room.
Each of the chairs had names of, I assume, Georgian or Victorian dignitaries.
I loved the venue. The food and the customer service was excellent.
If you're planning a wedding this could be a contender! read more
