While they always do a great job, today was exemplary as I brought them a pair of very broken glasses for a senior, and they couldn't be repaired. Instead, what they did was put the lenses into second hand frames they had on hand at NO charge. This was for a lady with limited income, and when she saw them she was SO happy to see again. I am new to this city, and was until now, concerned about finding a place to get my eyes and glasses straightened out in such a smaller town. Being from Surrey, even there, i had no end of not quite getting things right from others who also tried hard, but for some reason these folks here brought the essential tweaks to my prescription and application that helped instantly. They have given such appreciative attention to detail to get this to work, very admirable,, and all with indomitable good cheer, respect, and helpfulness. The discomfort i felt wearing glasses from Costco, that just didn't feel well, eyes and even my brain trying to cope with what wasn't quite right,, has now been rectified. When I visit a place on holidays, I often head to a local florist to purchase flowers for my room...makes it feel a little less hotel and a little more homey. Today I visited Polka Dot Door when I arrived in Osoyoos. I met Kelly the friendly owner who was incredibly busy preparing Graduation bouquets and corsages as well as beautiful wedding bouquets...but she still stopped to chat. Loved the friendly welcome. When I told her I try to purchase flowers for my hotel room when I travel, she lent me a vase to take back to my room. Said to leave it at the hotel couter when I leave and she would pick it up. What a lovely lady and outstanding service. When in Osoyoos, stop by and pick up some flowers from Kelly!

My niece ordered an orchid for me for Christmas this year. First of all it was delivered not even…read morewrapped in clear paper (5 Degree outside) just naked. I noticed right away that the leaves had little white spot. After a day saw little white flies coming from it, a common problem in orchids from greenhouses but deadly for it eventually. So I returned it to the flower shop on the next open business day Dec. 27. The business owner was in defence mode right away, she blamed me for transporting the plant without wrapping it, well it was the same temperature outside as it was on the day it was delivered from the shop. She then denied the flies and blamed me of having other plants that had flies that had jumped over to the orchid. The most ridiculous thing she accused me off was that I might have pets with fleas who could have jump on the plant, that's plain BS. She refused to replace the plant or return money to my niece. I feel very sad my niece is barely out of university and paid a lot of money for this orchid and wanted to make me happy. Sad very unprofessional experience!
