I've had Waste Pro out of Mobile, AL for 5 months now. I produce very little waste and usually only put my 96-gallon tote out every other week. So they have had about 10 opportunities to pickup up my garbage. Three times in the last two months they have missed the pickup and it has taken 4-5 days to get it picked up with several phone calls. Today, I was put on hold while the CS Rep was "talking with dispatch." This was at the end of the day near 5 p.m. After 10 minutes, the call just disconnected. Horrible customer service. Pensacola Waste Pro will happily debit your account for what you owe, then send that bill over to a predatory "debt" collection company a few months later, all while saying that you owe $0 on their billing site the entire time. So now I'm dealing with debt collectors for a $60 bill that I paid months ago, and I don't even want to know what it's done to my previously nice 750 credit score. I just called your agent and can't wrap my brain around the answer I was given. I understand recycling service is suspended due to the recycling facility being down. My problem is that my blue bin was already full when I received notification that it wouldn't be serviced. My blue bin has been full since service was suspended. I am simply asking the blue bin be emptied (pretend it is brown) so I can get rid of all the rubbish that has been sitting around for several weeks. I was told I need to transfer all of the material to another bin for pickup. That is stupid. I was told to go dumpster diving in my bin of trash that has been sitting around for weeks, getting wet and stinky. Went out at 8am this morning to bring my trash cans back in and found that a bear had knocked them over in the night so WastePro just drove by and left them. I called WastePro to let them know I would clean and right them, and would they please schedule to have them emptied. I was informed "No", I asked her to speak to a supervisor, she spoke to two and both said "No, they aren't responsible for wildlife". I said that I am not responsible for wildlife either, but I pay Wastepro for a service that I did not get, they said "Too Bad, go to Ace Hardware, buy a bear lock and modify their trash cans" Well, why don't your trash cans come with wildlife locks since you don't pick them up but once a week? Waste Pro is the WORST! They had no problem taking their payment out of the bank even though they've left 31 families with overflowing trash for days. They should be shut down. Lazy company who has a monopoly on the area and they know especially with the recent changes with a higher price but less days to get trash and sometimes don't even get the trash or yard waste lazy workers as well it's not a hard job can't see why they fail to do it repeatedly. When businesses do things less than admirable it's easy to take the time to get online and rant about them, however it's easy to neglect taking the same time when they do something good/great. Well, I would like to give praise to the guys on our route that pick-up yard waste. Today I had several small bundles out, along with the yard waste can, and they did an amazing job of getting all of it into the back of the truck rather than dropping a lot on the street as they drug it to the truck. When I went to bring my can in it dawned on me that it has been this way for quite some time. I quickly realized that we can become immune to all the good things happening around us, so I simply wanted to applaud my Waste Pro yard waste guys that actually do the work of picking it up. Of course, that extends to the regular waste drivers as well, but their job is easier as they use the mechanical handle to pick up the can, and not hang off the back of the truck. read more

Terrible service. Sometimes do not come on trash day, often do not come for recycle bins. I call and they say they will be there but never show up until another day. Then the workers let trash blow all over the roadway..trying to find another trash service for our HOA. read more

I have seen several posts on the Neighborhood App that show Wastepro may have some slackers that don't want to do their job. As for myself, I have gone months without having my yard waste picked up. The excuses I get are well the branches are too long, so I cut them down to four-foot sections and they won't pick them up. The people that answer the phone must have a list of canned excuses because every time I call I get the same ones. The branches need to be bundled, they need to be in bags, we don't do special pickups for waste however on the web site it states they will do on request pickups. Now they have added to their list of excuses, "because of COVID-19 their trucks are having to make four trips to the dump instead of their usual 2 trips". I would think they would either add more trucks or give us a break on the cost since they don't pick up 100% of the time. I am tired of being ignored every time I call in about my house not being serviced out of my entire street. Time for Navarre to find another company. read more

Change your name to WASTE UNPRO!!! My bill has been paid automatically from my bank since this company took over from Waste Management. Never any issue until earlier this year when they left a message saying I was delinquent so I paid them with my credit card. When I returned home I checked my checking account and there was the payment. Like many others have said trying to call them is impossible. The recording says they're open til 5. I called repeatedly from 4 - 4:45 and no answer. Since I was in the area I stopped by the office. There's 4-5 women sitting together with desks facing each other. When I explained the issue and even showed them my bill payment online she said maybe you sent it to the Jacksonville office. I just told you I've never changed any bill pay information so you must have misapplied it and now I've paid you twice. I said just credit me for the next quarter. She said she'd take care of it. The following Monday I get a message from them that they need a copy of the check from the bank. So I go to the bank and they verified it was paid. The bank called Waste Unpro and explained the situation and again told them they have confirmation it was paid and funds debited from my account. Again she says she needs a copy of the check. The bank asked what is it you're not understanding...it was paid electronically...there is no cancelled check. The Waste Unpro lady said...well, we're pretty much behind the times here and aren't very automated and can't accept electronic payments...only checks. So the bank replied well, you accepted an electronic payment the last three billing cycles. Waste Unpro then said...can't do anything until we get a copy of the check and hung up on the bank. How is it you can do automatic payments on your website now but you can't accept electronic payments from a bank? So today I tried to log into my account. Their home page says "Our website has a NEW LOOK". Whoever did your website messed it all up cause now I can't log on. It says wrong password. It's the same password I've always used. So I click on "forgot your password", enter my email and the message says it's been sent. Well, no surprise...never received an email from them. They conduct business as if it was 1970. They really are not up to date with anything. Why must I do all the running around for more proof they say they need when I already showed them in person? It's obviously their error but they won't lift a finger to try and rectify the problem. So today I come home and my trash can and recycling can are gone. My neighbor said some guy came by in a truck and took them. Well, coming onto my property without permission is trespassing. Law enforcement can't even go through your trash without a warrant unless your trash can is on the street. They should have waited until pick up day and got them from the street. Since I have to go to Milton tomorrow I will bag up all my trash and go drop it off in front of their door. I'm sure Santa Rosa County has a performance clause in the contract. If everyone told SRC we're not paying our property taxes until they fire Waste Unpro they might actually do something about it. The entire management team at the Waste Unpro office in Milton should be fired!! I recommend we all contact the corporate office and raise hell with them about their seriously underperforming office in Milton. If the corporate office can't fix it and SRC won't fix it then we should file a class action lawsuit against both of them. And CR, don't waste your time replying with a canned company response that you always strive for five star customer service and to please send an email to your customer service department. Even your employee stated you're not up with the times. If she is right that you can't accept electronic payments in this day and age then customer service probably doesn't even have email.
