great customer service, you truly get what you pay for. The ladies on the phone were so nice and the driver drove with caution and took care of my needs. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. We have had nothing but horrible experiences with them. We were quoted $150 per quarter, but when the bill came around to renew for the next quarter there were added fees for fuel and maintenance and environmental impact making the bill close to $200 instead of the originally quoted price. The whole time we had service with them the trash pick up guys would leave the can open and when it rained it would fill with water and have to be dumped out, they would leave the can in the middle of our driveway to where you literally couldnt pull into our house. I called to cancel service and explained that I was unhappy - and they said it was cancelled. The day came for them to pick up the can and they did not so I called and was literally laughed at on the phone because "the guy who does that is really busy". The can sat outside our house on the curb for 3 weeks. Not to mention - we still were receiving bills from them to renew service for the quarter. I called and asked for written confirmation that my account was closed and was sent a screenshot of the screen showing that they had lost my account. Today - I received another email from them saying my account was past due and that I was in danger of my services being cut off. WHEN I LITERALLY CANCELLED SERVICE A MONTH AGO AND THEY PICKED UP THE CAN YESTERDAY. It has been a HORRIBLE experience and if anyone asks for trash recommendations in the area I will be sure to tell them NOT TO PICK WASTE CONNECTIONS. read more

The service is horrible . They don't pick up my trash every time. I have called a few times and whoever I talk to a lady seems irritated if I tell her my trash was not picked up. You people need to get off your lazy duff and do your job. Stop sitting around and waiting for 5:00 to roll around and do what you were hired to do if you don't want to do it I am sure plenty of other people could take your place and do a much better job. Your service is absolutely horrible . Three times I requested you guys to pick up my trash and y'all have yet to do it . Absolutely horrible service. read more

We started service with WC in August of 2018 & left them in February 2023. Everything was going fine with billing , service, pick-up until a little over a year ago. Reader be ware this may seem muddy because it is, they were that jacked up with our billing. Initially we were on a monthly billing plan, then WC switched to a quarterly billing with zero notice. All the while they were still auto-drafting us monthly. Every few months we received an email about a past due amount (they were still auto drafting). I did call about it the first time it happened and the representative said that they bill quarterly but I pay monthly, so i would see this on the 3rd month. She asked if I wanted to switch to quarterly billing and I said no I would rather stay monthly she said, "that's fine." So I ignored the balance due notices every 3 months. About a year ago they didn't pick up two weeks in a row, so I called. This is when I learned about the mandatory quarterly billing change AND they also increased their prices but kept auto-drafting the same old amount. So on their side, for several months, we kept showing a balance owed and at some point we were not picked up for the negative balance owed and better yet a pay or it goes to collections! Yes you read that right. I was stunned. I looked through old emails for notifications of these changes but nothing was sent, no paper notices came in either. At this point, I was so fed up but I was limited with leaving because we also have a home business and had a lot of trash (2-3, 96 gallon cans a week) and for the cost we just sucked it up. But guess what...yes they changed policy AGAIN! Third week of February we had 2 cans out, they only emptied 1. So I called and it was explained that we were only paying for 1 can so that is all they will pick up. Let me just say I was stunned, I'm not sure why but I was. So I very politely explained to the representative that this has never been the case, we have always had 2-3 cans a week, and we have never received notice of any changes in policy. She did have them come out to pick up the still-filled can but this was the last straw. Luckily, our business is no longer at our home so it made the decision much easier. Goodbye WC!! I will say that the ladies in the office that I spoke with were helpful, professional, and did what they could to help. After the first issue of quarterly, the second issue of changes in amount due, third issue of possible collections, I asked to speak with the manager. I left several messages for about 2 weeks and I have still yet to speak with him so with this last event I didn't even try. I will be sending a detailed letter with more specific dates and details that I have left here so that they are aware of issue with the Alexandria branch. It's up to them to do something about it or not. Thanks for sticking with me and making it to the bottom. ‍ read more

We left Progressive waste at the end of June due to the constantly increasing bill and unreliable service. Since then we have been asking them to pick up their trash can. It took us sending a certified letter stating that if they didn't pick it up in 10 days they were forfeiting their ownership of it. This morning at about 7am they finally picked it up. However my sister who lives in the same neighborhood and canceled on the same day we did , and has been calling them as well still has the trash can. When she called to ask why they picked up our trash can but not hers since we are just a few streets apart, they informed her that no one has been sent to pick up trash cans at all today. They outright lied to her. It's really bizarre that a company thinks using former customers as storage facilities is ok. I'm not sure why they feel the need to lie about the situation. Waste to Geaux has proven to be leaps and bounds superior for this service. read more

They will leave you responsible for a trash tote for four plus months with claims that they are understaffed. Then lie to you about the situation altogether. I should not have to hire an attorney for them to pick up their trash can when I stopped their unreliable service in July. They over charge for pickup that is unpredictable. The quality of their customer service is far from desirable. read more

If I could give 0 stars I definitely would. I really wish I read all of the horrible reviews before deciding to use this company but I didn't expect it to be a big ordeal, just renting a dumpster to use during a move. After I paid $700 for a very small dumpster (yes, I said that right, SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS) I received an additional bill for $80. Nobody can explain to me why I had to pay extra money in addition to the $700. When I spoke with the sales rep prior to renting the dumpster of course I questioned why it would cost $700, I was told that as long as I didn't need multiple pickups I would likely get a good bit of a refund. Well I didn't have it emptied not once. It was half full and then picked up when it was supposed to be. But mysteriously, I had to pay another $80. Stay away from this company. They are of no help and they clearly don't mind screwing people out of their money. read more

This is posted 9/11/2020 We are picked up on Monday/Wednesday/Friday. The manager was called and told the trash would be collected today. I am posting this after the business is closed so there will be no trash pick-up again. WHY? You get paid for collecting this trash but you are not doing your job. Get with it and get this trash picked up on schedule every day you are supposed to come. There are 100 apartments in our complex and ALL are full. We only have 3 bins and ALL are full every time it is pick up day. Now we cannot even get all of our trash in the bins because YOU ARE NOT doing your job. read more

This company is nothing but excuses. As a medical facility, it is important that our trash is picked up weekly. So for, one time all month. Every call, there is a different excuse. I highly recommend you find a more efficient company if you need trash services. read more
