When visiting Mannheim, you will most definitely find yourself at the Wasserturm (Water Tower) since it's located in the square downtown. It's a beautiful piece of architecture. It is a well-known and very popular landmark. The water tower was built in the 1800s in the square. The tower is approximately 60 meters high, and it was Mannheim's first water tower. Der Wasserturm ist der Mittelpunkt der Stadt Mannheim. Hier finden viele schöne Feste statt, wie z.B. das Blumepeterfest - eine Benefizveranstaltung. Auch nach Siegen der Fußball-NAtionalmannschaft trifft sich hier die feiernde Menge. Leider kommt es manchmal zu Konflikten mit unvernünftigen Besuchern, welche Feiern mit Zerstören verwechseln. read more

Der Wasserturm ist einfach das Wahrzeichen Mannheims, und netterweise liegt er immer auf meinem Weg wenn ich mal von weiter weg nach Hause komme - ein richtiges Stück Heimatgefühl also. Bin ich mal in der Stadt unterwegs, mache ich dort in den schönen Anlagen gern Pause. read more

Sehr schön angelegt. Tolles Ambiente! Ideal für kurze Spaziergänge, auch mit Kindern. Tolle Sehenswürdigkeit in Mannheim und immer vorzeigbar, da immer gepflegt.Veranstaltungen finden hier auch oft satt. read more

Mitten im Park steht der gigantische Wasserturm. Als Wahrzeichen der Stadt muss man ihn einfach kennen. Besonders schön finde ich ihn, wenn er beleuchtet ist. read more
