there's a blond kid that works there, he is great however there is one worker and his name starts with an L i think, he isn't very good at his job. and the guy with the deep voice who looks like JJ from outer banks is awesome. the blonde one and JJ from outer banks are wonderful people to be around. there always super fun and i hear them chit chatting away but they always come to my needs of a large popcorn filled half way then filled and then even more butter. bunchacrunch is my favorite theatre candy and they have it. read more

Good god, the parents of Marblehead and Swampscott children should be embarrassed. Saw a 7:25pm movie on a Friday and about 75% of the time was middle and high school kids talking, yelling, laughing, leaving, coming back, standing up, running around, answering their phone (!!!) etc. I've never seen anything like it in a Movie theater - an absolute circus. Multiple patrons complained multiple times to the 2 poor guys apparently in charge of the place- who kept coming in and saying "last warning PLEASE try to be quiet." Just completely shocking behavior and lack of decency and courtesy all around for 2+ hours. Almost at a loss for words. Unfortunately there is just a very, very low likelihood we return anytime soon after this experience. read more

Beware Row F. If you want to spend 2.5 hours on a stool with no footrest watching a movie this is the place for you. We went online and pre picked our seats HOWEVER there was ZERO indication that the last row is stools at a counter NOT seats. Honestly this was the worse visit ever to a movie theatre. This used to be a great place to see a film. Now you are better off on Revere or Danvers. read more

I will only comment on the movie viewing experience, as I haven't tried to order anything to eat or drink. I would have ordered a beer if I had been asked, but the waiters didn't acknowledge my presence. Anyhow, as a movie viewing experience, I'd give the Warwick high marks at least for theatre #1. It is a small space, maybe 75 seats, don't really know, with tons of leg room which I particularly appreciate. So much leg room, that you can slip out to the bathroom without discomforting others in your row. The seats are very comfortable, there is no stale theatre smell, despite the food being served, the sound is terrific without being overwhelming, and the picture quality excellent. I found parking right on the street even though the 6:30 show I attended was sold out. I like being able to book a particular seat ahead of time too. I would definitely go to see other movies at the Warwick, as this part of the North Shore is bereft of decent movie houses. A serious complaint I have is that for a boutique house, there is no way to see what films are coming up in the future. It would help them build a return customer base if they provided this type of info several weeks out. read more

Cinema 1 Is WAY better than Cinema 2. I will not pay to see a movie in Cinema 2 ever again. Cinema 1 however, Is very comfortable. Great seating and great sound. It Is a great addition to Marblehead. My only criticism would be that they don't turn the house lights down enough. Cinema 1 = 4 stars and Cinema 2 = 1 star. See my former review for details about Cinema 2. read more

Very unpleasant experience, tried to order food, was told they do not serve that until I pointed to it on their own menu. Woman was very rude about it, food finally came cold with no apology. Asked to speak to someone about it after movie and was told she's be over. Then she just left us standing there while she ignored us for 10 minutes. read more

I've only seen movies in Theater 1 (not the conference style Theater 2) and as such, my experience has been much better than others. A few tips: Tip # 1: The servers don't always ask around to see if you want food. There is a little button that is found under the tray on your armrest. Press that (before the previews begin) and you will get a server that will provide you a menu, take your order and serve you drinks. The quality of food is better than the hot dogs, nachos and pretzels you get at any other major theater chain, so I'm baffled by the fact that people are complaining about it. To each their own, I guess. The chairs in Theater 1 are super comfy, spaced apart really nicely, but it's a small theater. The shows are going to sell out. The website could be a little more helpful, but tip #2: you don't need to save or print the tickets you purchase online. Just bring the card that you used to purchase your tickets and one of the staff of the theater will print them out for you. Tip #3: seats are ASSIGNED. Whether you buy online or in-house, you will choose the seats you want to sit in. Be sure that you remember that fact or you will plop down, make yourself comfy and then be asked to move by the person whose seat you snagged. I'm really happy this theater is in Marblehead. It really beats dealing with the loud, obnoxious theater-goers in Danvers. read more

Dinner and a movie, with tons of potential, but many issues. Our server was awesome, but the food was a problem. My salmon was delicious and I made a carb substitution that they accommodated for me. His "half chicken" was so tiny... It was definitely less than a quarter chicken. It was the craziest thing. He was starving, so the server brought him sliders to fill him up. He didn't really like those either. Mine was good and she was wonderful, though. The movie was in theatre 1. There were lots of obnoxious teens, so we were constantly disrupted. But the issue we had was that the lights never go off. They dim. It was not the atmosphere for a blockbuster. read more

Went to see a movie at Cinema 2, which was a rather ridiculous experience. The small cinema is set up for eating and drinking while viewing, but the space is set up all wrong. There are small cabaret tables at the back of the house, which look cute, but the rest of the theatre is set up with long boardroom tables with ergonomic chairs around them. I felt like I was going to a board meeting. Instead of sitting cozily with my friend, I sat across a big table from him. The theatre isn't decorated, and the overall effect is being at an 8th grade party in someone's basement. The experience leaves much to be desired. read more

Cute place, however make sure you buy tickets on their website NOT on Fandango. They don't give you an option to choose your seat, and you end up stuck at a barstool and counter for 2 hours without knowing. Not a great experience. read more

From the moment we walked in we were blown away! The concessions area was very handsome with clean lines and modern finishes. We were able to buy popcorn and tickets at the same time, the service was friendly and convenient! I forgot my popcorn at the desk and the nice cashier brought it to me personally! When we arrived in cinema 1 (very close by) we were greeted by the bartender at out seats. All the payment was handled mobile and they were brought to us. My drink was tasty and strong. The seats are comfy and luxurious. The 3d glasses were individually wrapped. We will be back, soon and often! read more

Very nice SMALL clean theater...but opt for movies in Theater I only...great comfortable seats with lots of room in between rows and a little pull out tray like airplanes for snacking. Theater II has awkward large dining tables and horribly uncomfortable chairs. Wednesday night is senior night for $6...a steal and there are "specials" each month. October they had a tapas night. Some Sundays they show football games on the big screen at 1pm. Cafe options, coffee, wine, snacks and even dinner. Stayed for dinner and drinks in the Palmer Restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. Tasty sliced steak and decent drinks. Will definitely go again. But there were only 8 people in the theater this time, six for a movie two weeks ago. heard there was a nonprofit local group running the theater. hope they make it. read more

Wow. Who knew? Stadium seating. Wine and food at concession stand (actually at bar next door). Assigned seating. Small clean theater. Too bad listings can't be found on any movie web site...and too bad the super blacked-out windows during the day leave the goings on a complete mystery.... But the secret is out! Buyer Beware! Our 3D movie was not in 3D and they could have cared less. I purchased tickets online for the new release of Star Wars, the online website said 3D and the tickets I printed at home said 3D. There were 3D glasses at the door. Not only was the movie NOT in 3D but the staff made excuses for it. Computer error What do you want me to do, it has already started What do you expect for (matinee price) What I expect as a paying customer is what I paid for and promised my family. Star Wars in 3D. No excuses. I even showed them the website on my phone only to receive a shrug in return. Then they said the bin of 3D glasses must have been a mistake also. Anyone know what is going on here because the workers did not. Not even an apology. If you buy tickets, better call first and make sure you are getting what you paid for. Not worth the comfy chair. Yay! A cool new theater in Marblehead that serves food and beers! Too bad it's a mega cluster to try and figure this place out. The first time we went, we arrived a half hour before the show and we were still too late. So I wised up this time and bought tix on line. But then I couldn't print or save these tickets -- what the (crappiest) website (I have ever seen) doesn't do is save you the grief and tell you to just bring the card you bought the tix with (I took a pic with a smart phone and crossed my fingers). It also doesn't tell you how the ordering or actual EATING and DRINKING (the whole reason for going here?) works! And... Neither does anyone else. If I hadn't chased down a waitress who ignored our entrance, we wouldn't have been able to enjoy the crappy $11 Stouffer's personal pan pizzas, tiny watery coke in a paper cup and a Sam Adams (it's already too late when the previews come up but she knew I was ready to blast off and took pity on us). And we got to sit at a conference table in an (actually) pretty comfortable chair near a guy who unfortunately couldn't make himself stop drumming the table or turn his cell off. Awesome. Well, I guess the other theater is muy muy mejor and if given the choice, you should def choose the OTHER one. Parking available on the street or in a lot behind the little mall. Food at the restaurant, should you fail to get in to a movie, is good and there is live music in the awkward bar. This place has a ways to go, but I really want to see them do it right because the idea is a good one and we could use this place around here! read more

It's so great having a movie theatre in town - finally, going to the movies doesn't mean trekking it to the mall or having to factor in extra time for driving. Very easy to navigate the website and buy tickets online, and the chicken finger were delicious. read more

We had been looking forward to seeing Star Wars for weeks. We had prepurchased our tickets a month in advance. When we arrived, we found out that the time had changed without notice. They put us in the handicapped seating area - and then someone arrived that needed those seats. They rolled in an arm chair from some office. It was an awkward and uncomfortable situation. We had ordered food, which was horrible. My mother had ordered a cheeseburger earlier in the year and the food came from Palmers - she said it was great. This dry burger - not cheese burger as we had ordered - was horrible. They did not even give us a napkin. My son ordered the beef sandwich au jus - and it didn't come with any au jus. When we complained about the food and service, they admitted that the burger was from the donut shop and not Palmers. They blamed the bad service and food on Palmers. The whole ordering process is unfriendly and the staff is not helpful in explaining it, or interested in taking the order. If you go to the Warwick - I would recommend eating before hand - even at Palmers - and then carry your drink in. The beer and wine selection was minimal at the theater. read more

This was a totally great place for "date night." Our movie was in Cinema 1, so I cannot comment on Cinema 2. The seating was comfortable, the service was very friendly and accommodating, and we got to have beef sliders, Ceasar salad and beers while watching a movie - just doesn't get much better than that. The food was quite good and love that they have the traditional movie snack stand as well AND a full blown café with pasteries. Love it. read more

I love this theater. Every time I come I easy grab my tickets and a popcorn at the front desk. I've only ordered dinner once, but I get a drink menu every time I go. The waitresses have all been kind. One cinema has comfy seats with pull out trays for your snacks, the other has some tables and rolling chairs. I enjoy both of them equally. Stay awesome! read more

Theater itself was great, but the food could be improved. Very expensive and not that good. We got the sliders which had very tough meat-difficult to eat. They need to modify the menu to make the food more "theater-friendly" - small items that are easy to eat in the dark. Trying to eat half a baked potato with toppings is not that easy. The website is totally messed up. It listed several movies- none of which were actually playing at the theater. We had to use a phone(!) to find out what was being shown. For some reason, the theater is not able to be accessed from Fandango or Flixster. I really want this theater to succeed. I hope they revisit some of their dining choices and improve their website. read more

We pre-purchased tickets in person earlier in the day for the 6:00 pm show, arrived 30 minutes early and settled in our seats for a pleasant Saturday night at the movies. At 6:05 pm, a man showed up with tickets for the same seats with a young male employee who asked us to get up and meet him in the lobby. He said that we were sold tickets for a 12:30 pm show in error and he would give us comp tickets for a future movie. It was very embarrassing to be asked to vacate our seats at showtime due to a ticketing error when we were all settled in our seats with soda and popcorn. In the lobby, I asked to speak with the Manager who was supposedly in the building but no one made an effort to help us find him so we waited a little while, got our comp tickets and then left. We should have been allowed to stay in our seats but instead we were embarrassed, treated disrespectfully and our evening was ruined. I will not be going back there any time soon! If you are planning an enjoyable evening out at the movies, I recommend that you go elsewhere! M.M. read more

Online ticket buyer beware! The last row of seats in theater 2 are actually bar stools and it does not say that when you buy the tickets. There is no difference in pricing, so you are expecting to sit in a lovely over sized comfy leather chair, but when you get there, your sitting on a hard uncomfortable bar stool with not footrest. I asked the manager if I made a mistake online and he said it does not specify the type of seat. He then proceeded to tell me they do not do refunds. I would have made more of a stink, but I had my teenage daughter with me and she would have been horrified. Overall I think it's a good place to see a movie, but they MUST fix the online ticketing to reflect the kind of seat you are purchasing. read more

The ticket price is way too high ($13.75). The website is uninformative -- it doesn't say you have to get there 45 minutes beforehand to order food -- this information is on a telephone recording if you call the theater. The website also doesn't tell you that they don't serve food at the last showing (which in our case was 8:50 p.m.). The drink service was also not available at that hour. We had to walk down to Palmer's Restaurant to order a beer and glass of wine. The seats in the theatre we were in were fine, but a friend told me that the seats in the "conference room"-like theatre were awful. A strange place -- not well planned. read more

I can only speak for the quality of theater number 2, which is basically a conference room that attempts to show movies. The setup is around five tables with very cheap, mostly broken, staples quality chairs. For the amount I paid, I expected much more. I will not be returning. It is certainly worth going to the Liberty Tree Mall or Jordan's for a cheaper, more immersive, and comfortable movie experience. Do not waste your money. read more

The Warwick Cinema is a great "Little Movie Theater" in town. For a two theater cinema, they do a great job of maintaining the Theater, and of keeping business busy. Since 2014 when it reopened, I have been pleasantly surprised with how well they rebounded. The movies they show are current, with a dine-in theater. The Warwick shows sporting games as well, which can be a fun adventure to watch a Superbowl there. I highly reccomend this theater to ALL Marblehead Residents, and I hope you have a great time there! read more
