The instruction covers multiple times of martial arts, and the Black Belt program includes weapons as well (escrima, bo staff, nunchucks). The class sign up is for 6 months for the basic program, or the full on Black Belt training program is 3 years. I highly recommend them to everyone that talks to me about kids' activities. He knows how to talk to the kids but also calls them out if they're being distracted or inappropriate. He's very understanding of the younger kids, he doesn't expect them to do much when they're new. The only rule is once you're off the mat, you need to stay off. I like that the class is only 30 mins long because my son tends to lose interest in things fast, even if it's things he likes. Coach has the weekly curriculum posted on the wall which I appreciate since I have no idea what the skills are called The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I wish there was more space. The mats are fine but the area where the parents sit can get kind of full. He has a shelf of snacks and fridge of refreshments as well for purchase. You can also buy the Gi there and other Jiu jitsu apparel in kids and adult sizes. I can tell it's already giving my son some form of discipline.

If they have any problems they address them quickly and correctly. There is no community that does not have its problems. But Onyx ju Jitsu is a safe space for all practitioners of ju Jitsu and other martial arts. If you like a family atmosphere of encouragement and camaraderie with adults and family classes. Onyx is a great club. There is also some great competition in the ju Jitsu club as well. The club is also very active in tournaments and super fights. You can also train Muay Thai stand up and UFC for competitive people. It's a great place to meet competitive people and train safely. If that makes any sense.
