I am one of those people who don't bother keeping books once I have read them. which means they are either binned or passed on to a charity shop / eBay. The latter option being prefered. However, with the library I reserve any book that I fancy they get it in and drop me an email and I pop in to pick it up. I'm not sure if that makes me a free loader or using a valuable local resource that will only be supported by the powers as long as it is used! The library has a great selection with new books added recently from the Salford book pool. It has internet access for all which is great but sometimes you tend to find it full of irritating teenagers trying to find out what they can get away with looking at before the terminal is shut off. Most books are available within a couple of weeks of going on sale, but if you dont see the one you want then drop them and email or ask at the desk and they will see what they can do. Once again I love the library. use it or loose it!!

Cassettes. CD ROMS and videos. They have free internet access and learn direct courses. I have actually done one of the learn direct courses and found it to be really easy and very helpful. They have a very big variety of books including children's books. There is a section were parents are able to take their children and read to them quietly. The library has allot of free information for careers, courses, family history and much more. It has a cafe that is very cheap. There is access for people in wheelchairs.

The selection of books is good for a relatively small library and they can get you any book from across the Wigan area quite quickly. There is free internet access which is very useful. The staff are very helpful and quite knowledgeable if you need help. There are also activities in the holidays for children.
