This bookshop is in the increasingly popular Ballyhackamore area. It's a small but terribly well run charity bookshop (why do charity bookshops always seem to be scarily well run - perhaps we should send all the volunteers to run Stormont and/or Health Service?). It specialises in antiquarian and Irish books, but also stocks books on religion, biographies, hobbies, travel, geography, history, horror and sci-fi as well as paperback novels and childrens books.
Not only is it a great bookshop, in a lovely area, with parking (girls, could you ask for more?), but it's in a compact area with other charity shops (torn between reviewing these and wanting the eye-opening selection of 'labels' for own self - only joking - look out for my reviews on yelp!). Also, there are several excellent coffee shops - these I will be only too happy to share with you, so I won't be a big-pants Bridget Jones on my own! read more
