I do get the fact ALABAMA/AAA would prefer not to provide me service at all. I would just say have had membership with AAA before and never had the delays of service or misdirected information or blatant unfulfilled promised follow up of communication leading to unanswered service or unreimbursements. Maybe this will be the trend when I leave ALABAMA; However, I can say to-date I have never before received such poor service from any other AAA service provider outside of ALABAMA.

She was able to book the hotel we were looking at online, on other sites, at a much lower rate. She even let us know that there was a breakfast option that we could add which we found to be very convenient, and made the trip better. We traveled with seniors and also valued her expertise on travel insurance which to our surprise would cover medical as well. We went ahead and purchased it for peace of mind and was also affordable. She processed the reservation in a timely manner and we received booking and insurance information both by email and regulare postal. We are looking forward to using her services next time we travel.

When someone showed up she was unaware that it wasn't manned. After a 10 minute wait with a crowd, we got checked in. As a family of five, we've stayed at plenty. Room was pretty below Hyatt Place standards. Beds weren't as comfy and the usual kitchenette area wasn't there. The coffee in the room tasted like cardboard. Eating....the Placery is NOT open despite what the app says. No food besides breakfast available. Breakfast was pretty sad as well with cold unless you managed to get food as soon as it came out. The coffee was much better than the room. All in all this stay has got me realizing that all Hyatt Places are not created equal.

We wanted to return and have a more 'authentic' experience and more interaction with the local population. Comunidad Connect was definitely the best way for us to have this opportunity. They have great community counterparts and the volunteer activities didn't feel like busy work. Instead, you feel like you're really working WITH the community and it's goals. My favorite part of the trip was the farm days at Finca El Peten in Jinotega, it was so powerful! However, I do recommend you pack rain boots, a Spanish dictionary and snacks, it gets muddy if it rains, if you want to talk to community members you need Spanish, and there won't be anywhere nearby to buy snacks. Overall, a great experience, thank you Comunidad Connect!!
