Martin's Custom Remodeling

out the front picture window of the dilapidated and mistreated home that has been neglected,…read moreabused by the owner from whom I rent, I can see right now, the professional crew of Martin, carefully and and back to life gorgeous beachfront home in Beach that was built in about 1925. for the past 2 1/2 years, it has been my pleasure to watch as the owner and families who have come to celebrate birthdays and milestones of grandparents and loved ones understand what visitor whose grandfather actually owned the home and shared photographs of herself and her father in the kitchen with the current owner. In between the happy gatherings Martin and his professional crew have brought new life into this grand building by carefully taking care of the roof and necessary, rebuilding of walls and framing that needed attention. Replacement of steps that needed replacement. Very complicated roof with many various pitches interior work. And today to my absolute delight, the most fantastically, professional and classy plumber, brought in to take care of the plumbing jobs that need to be done so that Martin can assure the owner that everything has been done with care and pride and craftsmanship and professionalism Martin isn't afraid to show his name and the trades in which he specializes and his CCB number proudly on the side of his work trucks and bands. He is happy to take a moment at the end of the day in between tasks when he has time to talk about the trade and how he is carefully taking on the job of restoring a historic Oregon property. I've observed as he consults with the owner, and the owner has reported back to me about the good relations and good communication and professionalism that he thankfully receives. I have chatted from time to time with the owner of the property and I've been happy to share a five star review for the work that his crew is doing and a off of admiration for the way that he takes care of his property by hiring such good workers and by communicating clearly with them and I thank him for being a good and he for helping out and keeping an eye out. One incident in particular sticks out in my mind at this point. At the property where I currently reside and an anonymous carpenter had inadvertently saw through the main electrical cables of the property built in 1946. Up the street, a delivery truck had accidentally yanked down electrical lines because of a poor coordination of communication between the city and a local owner regarding the importance of clearing trees and a failure to identify that the overhanging powerlines were being held up by the long branches of the tree in the midst of all this Martin's crew was roofing that very complicated roof that has somewhere upwards of 11 different pitches and also has an extremely steep driveway that complicated the matter of delivering shingles that were to be lifted up to the roof with electrical lines and Internet lines passing in the line of the truck used to hoist the shingles Given the accidents I'd already witnessed locally, I was reflexively anxious. Not to worry. Martin's crew had their eyes on the job, took measures to avert the obstacle, and the driver was extremely skillful. These guys work as a great team someone who has spent decades, observing and the work of around the and also witnessed major industrial accidents caused by carelessness and a lack of communication or intentional violation of standards, it is refreshing to see a remodeling crew work with such diligence and efficacy and care And consideration for the property, the owners, guests, and surrounding neighbors.

Martin's communication and his crews work ethic was above and beyond. We ran into a few snags....due to the age of the home....and Martin was on the phone with me, sent photos and discussed options available to me. The job is now done and I'm super happy with how it turned out. My little beach home is now crisp and clean looking. The front wall that had dryrot damage has been repaired and the porch roof completely rebuilt. I highly recommend Martin and his crew. 5 STARS!!!

Work needed:…read more Replaced all windows and siding and repaired water damage from leaking windows on the south facing side of our home. They also removed and replaced our front deck and extended our rear deck, repaired our roof from leaks and repaired all the custom woodwork and drywall inside the home from water damage. It was a large job because we have a 3 story home over 5000SF. They had to get a crane with a bucket to do most of the work because the house is too tall for scaffolding or ladders. Review of work: In our area of Coastal Oregon the climate is very wet and the wind is really strong. The house was built in 2006 but the previous builder did not do a good job of weatherproofing the house for this region. When it rained we would get water inside the house on the south facing side of the home. I got a few quotes and Halvorson-Mason was priced very good compared to their competitors. I also got recommended to them by our realtor. Chris and Brian of Halvorson-Mason were great to work with. They gave us a price and kept their word about what they would do to complete the job. They are very professional and down to earth guys. I couldn't ask for better craftsmanship. Their team are top notch guys and very reliable and trustworthy. We purchased this house last year knowing we had to get it fixed and thanks to Halvorson-Mason the house looks new again. I would definitely recommend these guys to friends and will use them again in the near future. (I am already in talks with Chris about installing an elevator in the house) I don't think there isn't anything they can't do when it comes to custom homes.

They never showed up on they didn't show up and when they did show up, they were unclean and the work that they did was like a third grader did it? They damaged an ottoman by sitting on it with a box cutter in their pocket. that of course slit the hole in it, and then refused to pay for the damage. If you're thinking of having them do some work for you think again it's not worth it even if they're the lowest better

The contract was signed Sep 20, 2017 and the estimated completion date was no later than Oct 31, 2017. The builder's foreman, Morgan, had a final walk through with my husband Sep 20, 2018. I filed a complaint against Central Coast Builders with Oregon's Construction Contractors Board. The mediation occurred December 20, 2018 and I prevailed. In other words, my complaint of unethical conduct on behalf of the contractor and the resulting deplorable workmanship resulted in Central Coast Builders having a permanent complaint filed against their construction license number. When you interview a licensed construction contractor for a project, be sure to ask who will be tasked with completing the job: direct employees or subcontractors. And before you hire a construction contractor, be sure to extend "due diligence" beyond what you consider diligent.
