Instead of letting a family mourn the death of a loved one, this paper ignored the repeatedly expressed wishes of privacy and reported the gruesome details of how a young man was murdered- down to what steps the killers took and the order in which they did it. The men responsible seemed to receive more respect that the victim and the family did. Their tactless reporting cause the family extremely painful and unwanted attention during one of the darkest moments that they will ever face. There was no need for those graphic details to be released. When the enraged public left reviews to voice their distaste for what they did and their concern for the effected family, The Walton Tribune disabled their reviews. This company would rather sweep what they did under the rug than acknowledge the pain they inflected on an already broken family. The bottom line- respect and consideration for a family who is trying their best to heal after someone so loved was violently taken from them is more important than making a dollar.
