I did not buy a car from Peachtree Auto Sales, but I can speak to the character of its owner…read more Two weeks ago, I had the cable leading from my alternator to my battery snap off due to wear and tear. I spent around three hours pushing my car along the side of I-85, and jumping in to pop start it, just to get it running for just a little bit longer, and for a few more miles. About two hours before I was scheduled to shoot maternity photos for a client, my car finally gave out on the ramp at exit 61. I coasted the car off the exit and into the parking lot of Jim's business. After spending some time looking around the engine bay to try and find the source of the problem, and finally identifying it; I went into Jim's business to ask whoever was there, where the nearest auto parts store was. I had planned to walk to the nearest parts store to buy some additional wire if I could find it. But when I stepped inside, it was Jim, the owner, who was friendly, sitting at the front desk, and more than ready to help. Not only did Jim give me directions, but he came out to access the situation. Then without being asked, Jim then locked up his business, told me sit tight, and left his business on his own time, in his own car, to go pick up tools to help me fix my car so I could get home. Not long after, Jim returned with a few sockets, pliers, and an adjustable wrench, which allowed me to disconnect the battery, and remove the damaged connector that had failed on my cars alternator. I then used the tools he provided, to strip the cover off the wire, and wrap the bare wire around the alternator post, and secured it with what was left of the damaged connection hardware. Jim then unlocked his business and let me wash my hands, and get cleaned up before getting behind my car himself and pushing it, to allow me to pop start it one last time for the drive home. After it started and ran normally, I promptly parked the car and left it running to shake the hand, and possibly hug the generous man who went out of his way to help me get home. Jim is the kind of person who is willing to drop what he's doing, and go out of his way to help a stranded stranger get home. He's the kind of guy who will actually risk losing an hour of productivity to give help to someone who needs it. And because of Jim, the three hours I spent pushing and pop starting my car on the side of the interstate weren't wasted. When my car broke down in Jim's parking lot I didn't know if I was going to get home, much less make it work two hours later. But Jim left his business for a short time to ensure that I had the tools I needed to improvise a repair on my car in his parking lot and get home. The term "selfless" is often thrown around without regard for its actual meaning. On the day my car broke down in his parking lot, Jim not only exemplified selflessness, but compassion, empathy, and self-sacrifice as well. He not only cared, but he offered help, after I had been passed for hours by literally hundreds of drivers on the interstate while pushing my car. I've written a number of reviews on this website, but I've never been particularly compelled to write one based simply on the kindness of another human being. Thanks to Jim, I can now claim that I have. Jim was willing to go to such lengths to help a complete stranger from whom he stood to gain nothing, that I can only imagine that buying a car from the man is an even more sincere and pleasurable experience. Jim, should you happen to read this, thank you again. -Rob (owner of the limping red Miata)

I visited over 90 local car dealerships during my 2 week search. Most of them were worse than internet dating - they were lying before their lips even started moving. If you are hunting for car, save time, energy and money with a trip to Dogwood Auto Sales in Fairburn. I almost didn't go see them as it's quite a drive but all of their great reviews made me make the trip. Nathan & Chuck are a father and son team - totally honest, straight forward and just good people. All of their cars are hand selected by Nathan. The vehicles are clean - SUPER CLEAN, well vetted and because they know it's a used car, they make sure you have a 3-month bumper to bumper warranty on whatever car you buy. This way, if something does break, you are covered. It's a used car so you just never know what might go wrong with it. It's obvious with these two that they take a ton of pride in their operation. They were easy to deal with before and after the sale. I have purchased dozens of vehicles over the years - for myself and my business. It's almost always been a headache. Don't do what I did - don't waste time - start your car search with Nathan & Chuck!! If they don't have the car you want in stock, get pre-approved on your loan and they can find you the car you are after. Most dealers have a "starter" price - cheap enticement to get you in the door and then hit you with dealer fees and other nonsense to add another $2,000 to the price of the car. Not here - the price is the price with no hidden add-ons. Buying from Dogwood will restore your faith in humanity - these two are the exception to the rule that car dealers are total criminals. We ended up with the perfect car for my daughter, low miles, near perfect condition and a price thousands less than comprable vehicles. Thank you Chuck & Nathan for just being who you are!

AmeriFreight is hands down one of the most dishonest companies I've ever dealt with. Maleah,…read moreCarovanzieus, and Michelle did nothing but lie to me day after day, constantly promising my car would be picked up on time when there was clearly no chance left to meet the deadline. They kept feeding me false reassurance instead of being upfront, completely wasting my time and causing unnecessary stress. Told me one number just to get my business and then tried charging me 3 times that. Then, after my deadline had already passed, they suddenly claimed they "found a driver" -- completely useless at that point and just another example of their incompetence. 0 stars

DO NOT USE! All the recent reviews are horrible for a reason…read more AmeriFreight is a broker, not a trucking company. They take 30% up front for supposedly managing the process but they do NOTHING once they get your money. I doubt they even tried to get the best price from the trucking company since they work off commission. The pick-up did not happen at the agreed-upon location. It wasn't even within walking distance. They didn't tell me until AFTER they were supposed to pick up the car that it wouldn't be where we agreed. They were also very late, and I couldn't reach anyone to tell me what was going on. Thankfully I put an AirTag in the car, or I would have absolutely no idea where it was. I could see that it still hadn't left Los Angeles FOUR DAYS LATER even though it was supposed to get to St. Louis in 7 days. I tried to reach someone to find out what was going on, and I finally received a response falsely stating it had left California when I knew it was still there. The drop-off was just as horrible. On the day it was supposed to be delivered, I heard nothing all day despite several attempts to find out what was going on. At the end of the day, they finally responded to tell me the driver had timed out on his hours and couldn't drive anymore that day. That's also when they told me for the first time that the car would not be dropped off at the agreed-upon location but SEVEN MILES AWAY IN A DIFFERENT CITY. They put me on standby, waiting for the driver to text me to come get the car. As all the recent reviews say, stay away!!!

Here is my…read morestory: I am writing to formally express my extreme disappointment and concern regarding my experience with your Lou Sobh Kia Newnan. I spent about two hours at the dealership working through the vehicle purchase process and was ultimately allowed to leave the lot with the vehicle even though the transaction had not yet been finalized and I had not signed the final finance paperwork, which I was told would be completed Tuesday. Because I currently hold a New York driver's license, their staff informed me they were unable to complete the Georgia registration process immediately and asked that I return Tuesday with a Georgia driver's license to finalize everything. Despite knowing the registration and finance process was incomplete, this dealership still allowed me to leave operating the vehicle with what appeared to be a "test drive" plate and paperwork identifying the vehicle as a "borrowed car." - please google "Is driving with a "test drive" plate legal in the state of Georgia. Later that evening, I was pulled over by law enforcement and informed that the vehicle could have been towed. I was also advised there was no proper proof of registration or insurance documentation associated with the vehicle at the time. Fortunately, the officer was professional and allowed me to return home, but specifically advised me not to drive the vehicle again until the situation is corrected. This occurred around 9:12 PM while I had multiple passengers in the vehicle. What should have been an exciting experience instead became stressful, embarrassing, and extremely concerning. I find it deeply troubling that a dealership would knowingly allow a customer to leave under these circumstances, especially when the transaction itself had not even been finalized. Additionally, during the process I was told that "Andrew" was the sales manager involved in the transaction, yet I later found Winston publicly listed as the sales manager. I would appreciate clarification regarding who Andrew is and what role or authority he holds within the dealership. (which was never addressed) I spoke with the GM, Shane Johnson, and here is how I felt afterwards: Following my recent call with the General Manager at Kia, Shaye Johnson, I feel even more concerned about how this situation has been handled. During the call, I was told that it was legal to drive using the test plate. However, even a simple Google search shows that this is inaccurate. Additionally, the General Manager's first response to me was, "I don't know how there is a problem when I gave you all the paperwork," which is simply false. I never dealt with him directly during the transaction. I only worked with Terrance and Amanda. The only document Terrance provided was the borrower sheet, and he specifically stated, "If a cop pulls you over, just show them this." What is most concerning is the manner in which this issue was handled. Instead of listening to my concerns, the call began with me being told that I was wrong and that this situation was somehow my fault. I was repeatedly talked over, and eventually asked, "Okay, well what do you want me to do for you?" Frankly, I found it absurd that a General Manager could not independently propose a reasonable solution to a problem created by his dealership. At this point, I requested that the vehicle be picked up immediately. (which it was picked up) I also have text messages referencing the urgency to "get this car sold before the weekend was up," which now raises additional concerns for me regarding whether the rush to complete the sale contributed to the poor service and handling of this transaction. Unfortunately, the issues began with my very first interaction with their sales staff, and the experience since then has only reinforced those concerns. I have retained all text messages and documentation related to this matter should they become necessary.
