Michael diagnosed, cleaned things up, and fixed the issue right there and then. I assumed since it was a heatwave week, I'd have to wait for service so this was awesome. I saw water had leaked on to the basement floor and I thought it was the A/C but Michael said it wasn't and found it was the outside faucet (started leaking into the basement when we turned it on) so I was able to schedule a plumber through this same company! Michael was super knowledgable, considerate (made a point of not tracking water into the house), and polite. Love this company. Happy to have found them. Highly recommend.

The next day I called them and they told me it hasn't been processed yet, so I wait a week, same answer. A month rolls by and I recall about that bill and give them a phone call and they have no record of me. I then see the actual plumber who did the service in Bricks cafe eating breakfast and I mention the bill that I never received. He smiled and said "they will get it to you" They did give it to me! 10 months later I get the bill for 450 bucks with a 18 percent interest rate for every month I didn't pay starting with date the work was done. The Bill said I owed around 1100, I drove into there place and talked with the lady at the desk. She saw that I wasn't pleased, and I mentioned how this was against the law, she immediately caved and blamed it on a CPU glitch. She then asked for the original 450 which I paid in cash and made her give me a receipt. How could that be a glitch though? It was printed and then mailed to my house stating everything that I mentioned. I reported them to the BBB because I could tell I wasn't the first person or the last they will be trying that scam on.

Worst part of this whole experience is that my kids almost went without heat this winter thanks to them. They charge way more then the company we chose and they are completely horrible to deal with. The only person from the place that was nice to us was the guy who inspected the unit. I had an initial quote from another company and the representative was moody and passive/aggressive and I just couldn't give that company my business. Then I looked at the sticker on my old system and it was originally installed by Roth. I gave them a call and Joseph came out the next day and gave me a quote and gave me an awesome deal on a close out 3 stage furnace (it's summer). When the day came for the install a whole team came to tear out the old system, pour a new concrete pad for the AC outside, and they had to make all kinds of changes to the ventilation and condensation lines to bring it up to current code. It's an old house and I'm sure it wasn't an easy job. But every single person who works for Roth from the ladies in the office to the sales team to the team of installers is wonderful. I own the home but had to relocate out of state for work, so coordinating repairs hasn't been easy. That first company told me the entire unit needed to be replaced and quoted me $4,500. I felt sick. Thankfully, I always get a second opinion -- and I'm so glad I did. Midwest sent Angel out the next day. I didn't mention the prior diagnosis, just asked him to take a look. He quickly identified the issue as a single part that needed replacing. The office stayed in touch with me the whole time, and Angel was able to return later that same day to complete the repair. The total? Around $300. Thanks to my smart thermostat, I could see the house cooling down in real time. I honestly thought I was going to have to shut down my Airbnb business -- I couldn't afford a full AC replacement. Midwest Mechanical absolutely saved the day. I'm incredibly grateful for Angel's honesty, skill, and work ethic.
