Walmart has its moments. I like to go early before the crowds get out of hand. You can definitely check out the items. I was a little shocked to see sparkling clothing on the rack. But if you got it you rock it. Plenty of parking too. There is a gas station also on the corner. read more

i know it's silly to write a review on a walmart, but WOW is this place amazing. the grocery options in winchester are not great, but walmart is amazing!!! i get my meat at costco but everything else is great. the staff are all friendly & attentive. the store is SO clean it's shocking. i often go to walk around when i need to get out of the house. i'll choose this walmart over the neighboring targets any day. read more

We placed a mobile order on June 4th, 2024. The curbside employee carelessly threw our groceries into the trunk causing our 6 pack of eggs to be completely broken. We called and they said if we came in and talked to customer service we could do an exchange. The employee there said we could not do an exchange and instead had to spend more money to repurchase. A perfectly fine Walmart that looked the same as any that I've been to that weren't awful. Hopefully that makes sense. There are three tiers of Walmarts - the excellent ones in the Bentonville AR area, the horrible ones and the good ones. This one isn't horrible but it's not excellent. Shelves were stocked, mostly. The cart I took had a slightly bust wheel. But there was no queue at the registers and more than enough were open when I needed to check out. That makes it four stars in my book. read more

In the pass I would go online to reserve to rotate my tires and most of the time I had it done in leesburg virginia. Since I wasn't working leesburg today i went online the night before to make an appointment for 10:00 am. for tuis winchester store. I called in the morning around 8:00 to make sure my appointment was at 10:00 am due to getting a reply where it Said my appointment was at 12:00 pm. So I called & John Walmart employee) confirmed it was moved to 12:00 pm I took my truck in at 12:00 pm and told they do not take reservations for tire repairs and that I would have to wait and line dig ithey get my service provided. So I went to Home Depot and Lunch to kill time. I came back at 1:30 pm and nothing was done. A young man was behind the counter with no name tag, so ask home when mmy truck would be ready, he said 1.5 hours. I gave then until 3:50 pm and spoke to Jerry AKA the "Auto service coach" and he told me my truck wasn't ready and that it looks like the 4:00 pm washing going to show, but we have limited staff, after having 3 technicians when I dropped off my truck and came back to see it was ready. Then all of a sudden, when I come in at 530 asking about my truck.Jerry has amnesia and didn't remembered talking to me about my truck on the phone after I was on hold for 5 minutes to talk to him. Unfortunately I have tto give at least one star for the rating when I would select -1 start. This has been a bad experience and I hope those who are reading this review don't patronize Walmarts auto service in Winchester on Pleasant Vally Rd. read more

Has anyone ever seen the manager? Nah. I was carded today after standing in the one of two full service lanes.. Using the term "full service " only as reference point. The smug clerk behind the counter had demanded my Identification knowing I was older than her own father. Yes well over 40 and 50 . She said ... no id no beer ... Hmm. By the way . I was standing there in my hospital scrubs after having elderly patients all day in my lab. This mindless drone like attitude of the petty clerks with their little positions of power, know nothing about caring for the sick nor saving a life. I thought about storming off, throwing an entitled high wage earner tantrum. It did appeal to the child in me, but. Wisdom as taught me to do what would really make a difference. I sold all my Walmart stock. Not wanting to own a loser or company that disrespects it's patrons More importantly I have resolved that I will never shop in this Walmart again, nor any Walmart. Who needs to be dismissed and treated with such little regard. I don't. . You don't.. This business model will fail. Any American with any self respect deserves better. What am I really saving? I believe Walmart as a whole is managed poorly and has lost it's appeal overall. Stores do not seem to care about the condition of the little bit of inventory them do carry. Store resets take a matter of months, total mess. Twenty employees standing around, yet you must self check out? I have a feeling they are on the same path as Hechinger's, over confident in their market status. Sam is turning over in his grave at the upper management decisions. A Walmart+ member here. Today's delivery included items I did not order and was missing items I did. I tried the online chat to rectify this, but that was useless. I looked up the telephone number and that did not work. While I am here, I have tried to make the deliveries easier for the drivers by sending them to the side door, Today the driver came to the side door and carried the bags to the front door. Winchester Walmart has changed. They have gone to 99% self check out, then have the audacity to stop you at the door. If you didn't trust me to ring my stuff up correctly, employ people to do it for me. I understand looting is on the rise but when someone is standing over me checking my every move, the scanner pinged the clerk over to question if I rang up what you can clearly see on the replay on camera and is the last thing on the screen, I feel like I have to prove my innocence. Normally I wouldn't give a store five stars for anything. This place however is an exception and it's because of its employees. First off who ever is in charge of hiring : you really have done a good job by hiring some of the most honest hardworking an great people. Take the optical department: there is a lady there who is upbeat, smiles constantly and is very professional . Absolutely wonderful! On a shopping trip today, I left the lights on in our 6 year old corolla and the battery died. Thank god it was freezing out, so the perishables were not in danger. I asked the 3 cart/ lot workers if they knew someone to help.They responded : just go to automotive and they'll jump you for free.! I stayed with the freezing car and my wife returned with the mechanic who with a booster got us started right up. He would not accept a tip and said it would be against store policy. On another occasion a few weeks ago I had a tire sensor giving me fits and a Walmart mechanic checked my air pressure and solved the problem. Again would not accept a tip. Kudos to the staff at this store for exceptional service and honesty. read more

Walked in the Walmart at 9:40 pm knowing they close at 10 went straight to electronics for a ps4 controller and no one was there to help and I pressed the assistance button 4 times after waiting 15 minutes I walked to the front like another associate told me too and the lady I talked too turned me away and I asked for a manager and she disregarded that question as if there were none on duty I then went on to ask 2 other associates and they acted like they couldn't help me and then I went on to ask the man they had working the sanitation station by the door and he acted as if there was no manager on duty and there was nothing he could do the customer service I experienced tonight was just horrible and if it wasn't the only Walmart location I knew of in this area I wouldn't go read more

The staff at this particular location is severely uneducated. It's unfortunate, but they can't seem to figure out that they're in the business of customer service. Recently, I called to ask about a delivery order concern, (the concern being that my card was charged, but no groceries were delivered) and the woman who answered the phone not only cut me off before I could finish a sentence, but she sighed because I had follow up questions due to her rudeness. If this were the only issue inside this location, that would be one thing, but, it isn't. Incompetent, rude, and self righteous staff, I'll shop elsewhere. read more

The auto center has been closed the last two times I've been there to get my oil changed. The keep closing earlier than their posted hours.

If I could give zero stars I would. I took a battery in for return and stood in front of the register for 30 minutes waiting on the employee to issue my refund. He could not figure out how and had to get a team lead to override the system twice while the manager sat right on the other side of the wall and heard the entire thing. Came in around 7pm and there were tons of "Walmart" staff (5-10 people) just sitting around talking, on their phones or being just plain rude with some of us. Only two registers taking cash tho? Stopped in here whilst on vacation to grab a couple of things for our house, and was surprised by the large selection. The fresh fruit and vegetable area was quite large, as was the bakery. I was able to find everything I needed very quickly and the store was very clean. Only complaint was that there was no pumpkin beer but I'm sure it was due to the fact that it was late August and not closer to fall. Would return if in the area! read more

For people who just need a quick in and out store run, Walmart is a good place to go. Personally, I don't like to go there unless I have to. They're often out of what I need and the customer service is not very good. The employees are not very alert or driven to help the customer. Walmart is great if you need something cheep, but you get what you pay for. You get cheep products and cheep service. read more

Ok, so I know this is Walmart and the standard of employees is not the highest but COME ON!! First of all the guy retrieving carts from the parking lot was wearing a wife beater. A wife beater!!.... as his shirt of employment. Really?? A wife beater? And no one in management bothered to tell him that's not appropriate? That's disgusting. And then on top of that there was another employee outside loading someone's car with their online order and she was smoking while loading the customers car. Seriously!! A cigarette in one hand and loading bags with the other. What?! How is that ok?! It's not!! That poor little old man had to stand there inhaling someone else's bad decision in life. That's not right or professional at all. And these two employees just tip the iceberg of an already messy, unorganized, chaotic store. I go to this Walmart usually 2-4 times a week. Every time i check out and am walking out the doors the old lady with the joe dirt looking haircut stops me to check my receipt. Today I made sure I watched her when I was going through the self checkout. She did not stop anybody or check their receipts until I was leaving then she stopped me and told me "She had to check my receipt" so I gave her my receipt and asked why she checks me EVERY SINGLE TIME I come to shop. She said she checks everybody's receipt but I was watching her for like 5-10mins prior to this moment. As we talked about this, there were people passing by her not getting their receipts checked which made no sense since she "checks everybody". I shop at Martins, Target, and Costco and I have never been singled out the way I am at this Walmart. At least Costco literally checks every persons receipt as they walk out. The next time this lady attempts to stop me to check my receipt I will take a picture and post it on here so nobody has to be harassed by her. Doesn't matter if i am by myself or kids, she does it every time and nobody should have to go through that sort of ordeal. read more
