The restroom was NASTY. (No, I wasn't going to take a photo of the restroom.) It looked as though it had not been maintained, but the toilet seat was/seemed to be clean, thankfully. The stall walls were dirty as if they hadn't been cleaned for months. It looked as though someone had smeared poop (is there a better word to use?) on the stall walls and the door. The water pressure at the sink was almost non-existent and the tiled walls and floor needed to be cleaned. I spent a bit more time in the store but unfortunately, I kept thinking of the rest room and left rather quickly. Update: Got a pleasant call from one of the managers there. They're going to start renovations on the restrooms soon, as well as other parts of the store. Update 2: It's been months and they didn't update the restrooms but they did clean the stall walls. read more

Walmart Supercenter - Department Stores Near Me - Winchester, Indiana

I brought my car here to the auto center to have a flat fixed. Here it is now six months later and I am going to rotate my tires. Upon looking at the Lugnuts they are stripped. The Walmart auto tech who changed my tire tighten the lug nuts way too tight and stripped them. Now I am having to go through the hassle of getting them off. I would NOT recommend the auto center to anyone. I went to them because they were cheap but I guess you get what you pay for, not good quality. I am very disappointed. read more

Walmart Supercenter - Department Stores Near Me - Winchester, Indiana

Winchester is my hometown, so for the past 25 years I've seen it grow and evolve in the ways a small town is able to grow and evolve. No, we may not have the largest chain restaurants or biggest movie theatre, but for a small town, we have a supportive community when it comes to the businesses that are close. One of those being Wal-Mart. Yes, Wal-Mart. They're kind of like McDonalds - pretty much everywhere. But when Winchester finally got this Wal-Mart Supercenter, it was as if the heavens opened and blessed the town with a place to get their everyday supplies. Needless to say, no one really took this new addition for granted. To be honest, I try to avoid going to Wal-Mart when I'm back in town simply because it's hard for me to be in the mood to run into 15-20 people I know. I'm not used to it anymore. But, for those living in Winchester, sometimes it's a treat. You can stop by Wal-Mart and are almost guaranteed to bump into an old friend and catch up on each other's lives. I don't find that in Indy nor am I wanting to find it in Indy. But, for Winchester it's kind of a nice touch. As most Wal-Marts go, this place provides anything under the sun. So as you're driving through the small town of Winchester and you realize you forgot a toothbrush, you're in luck! Stop by the friendly Wal-Mart and fix yourself up. My mom went to the pharmacy today to pick up a prescription. It was ready, and she just needed to check out. It was 1:28pm. They refused to serve her saying that they were closing for lunch. They said they closed at 1:30 (you need another pharmacist so that people can get their prescriptions when it is convenient for them). My mom decided to switch to CVS. I went there last semester to use the restroom. Well, there was blood in every stall, the toilets were disgusting, the floors were disgusting (I threw my shoes away when I got to my car), the store in general in dirty, and they have one incompetent cashier with a line wrapping around the store. I realize managers make more money when they have fewer employees, but you lose customers that way. read more

Good service. The cds is mostly what I buy lol, but however. The food is really good, but the floor is a little dirty and so are the carts.

The Winchester store does not offer store pickup. How can we shelter at home if we are forced to drive 40 to 50 miles to pick up food?

Small store. They carry a lot of things but not like the bigger cities. My main concern is.....many things that I like to purchase and used to purchase at this store are no longer available. I could name many items that this store used to carry but no longer do. Most of the items this store no longer handles can be found at other places such as convenience stores etc. I have requested that some of my favorite item be returned to the shelf, but have had absolutely no luck. I guess profit comes before customer satisfaction. I greatly dislike shopping at this store, but on occasion it is unavoidable. Otherwise I would have to drive 20 +- miles. I wish Marsh hadn't gone out of business. Of course they went out of business because of competition from Walmart..... We desperately need another store in this area. Please. read more

It's wal mart! Only thing separating wal marts are size and customer service. The store is sufficient for Winchester and overall the staff is friendly & helpful. Whether people like it or not ... It is convenient. read more
