The store carries clothing and accessories (shoes, jewelry), for women. It is divided into two sections with the plus options on the left and the ladies to your right. Upon entering the store, I was warmly greeted and as I continued browsing, I encountered great customer service. The one thing I really appreciate about this store is that it really respects women's bodies. If you are of a particular size, you can find fashion forward pieces that are flattering and come in great color options, beyond black. They even had special occasion options featuring the velvet burnout look that is so popular this season. They had a nice mix of lighter weight fabrics which are perfect for layering especially as we continue to have such unpredictable weather. Although I did not find the maxi length skirt I was looking for today, I still enjoyed shopping at Cato. ***Don't forget to check out the clearance racks and the tunic length sweaters!

Cheese grits on the side were above average. Brussels sprouts were just like any bistro Brussels sprouts ever (man, I wish this trend would die, but I keep ordering them hoping to be surprised.) The place was PACKED (as usual) but the staff were friendly and attentive. For me, however, this is expected in any restaurant. Therefore: 3 stars for decent - if unimaginative- food and good service. Will not come back unless there is no line ... albeit an unlikely scenario.

Unfortunately, this second visit confirmed their food just isn't for me. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel again, hoping for some improvement, but it was somehow worse this time. The bacon was completely undercooked, soggy and basically raw. I've posted a photo so you can see for yourself. It was unappetizing, and I couldn't eat it, just like my first try. The coffee is good, which is a small redeeming quality, but mine was barely room temperature. For a place known for drinks, I'd expect better consistency. If you're just stopping by for coffee, you might be okay (as long as it's fresh and hot). But when it comes to the food? I'm officially done trying.

Walmart is profiling every customer now and accusing them of shoplifting when they leave the store. Grabbing their shopping carts and demanding the see receipts and accusing them of shoplifting pretty much. They now are having people following you all over you if they think you look the type as they call it to see if you will shoplift anything in the store. Per Wal-Mart policy they are not supposed to stop you when you leave the stop even if they ask to see a receipt. As an employee at another Walmart the training video states if they do not stop, they cannot stop them for any reason. If they do this is profiling and harassing and bully and can end up in a lawsuit. Making false statement about customers that come in and out of there is bad for business. read more

UGGHHHH!! . When in…read morea small town, the shopping options are limited. However, I chose Belk because I thought that they might have a better selection of clothing than the other local stores. I was specifically looking for some cute tops in lighter fabrics. However, Belk has always had a poor record when it comes their "women's" clothing options. Everything appears to be shaped like a tent, splashed with a garish graphic print and constructed of cheap materials. I really think that some of their designers are just a room full of grandmas who sew clothing when they run out of quilting materials. Their dressing room was absolutely disgusting with clothing left in the rooms and floors desperately needing to be cleaned. If they would simply place a return rack outside of the dressing room, customers would place their unwanted clothing on the racks instead of leaving them in the dressing room. They set the tone for their unkempt dressing room and messy department. Overall their ladies clothing departments were very crowded with too many racks stuffed with clothing that needed to be better sorted and organized. I found it difficult to freely browse because of all the clutter. Instead of clearing away what they already had, they were actually adding more to the mess. After striking out with the clothing, I decided to check out their shoes but this too was frustrating because they don't carry many quality brands and what they had on display was just not of interest to me. I can say with confidence that today was my last visit to any Belk, anywhere!

They are definitely practicing social distancing. They are counting people entering and exits the doors. All employees are wearing masks. The check out counters and credit card machine are wiped clean after each customer. There is hand sanitizer located at the entrance on a table and at all check out counters. The employees are very kind at Belk. Seems I saw a lot of new faces when I walked in. I've been familiar with their employees for many years. I hope the long-term employees are still there. The best thing I like about Belk are the online sales. Download their app and get the latest emails on their sales through your email. You'll miss a lot of money saving coupons if you don't. Also when you use your Belk card you easily earn Belk Bucks to spend online or on the store. Please remember that if the store doesn't have the size you need, just ask an associate to check other stores and the store will mail it to you at no cost. The associate will check online inventory and then verify by calling the store. By the way, they discontinued a lot of Polo items; however, they are online and at terrific prices. This is what small town Thomasville has to offer, so they do their best in these trying times of online sales versus brick & mortar.

Since I arrived late, or very early in the morning, the place was lit up. I would not walk away from the travel center at this time of day cause only darkness is near. They have some fried foods here that you should get during regular business or risk warmed over old food. The chicken however, was not bad at all. I went to the restroom which seemed fairly clean and did not stink. They only had one hand dryer but no paper towels. The customer service associates did not look as if they wanted to be there. They were slow and cold. No personable skills, which goes against the traditional Southern hospitality. Overall however, this is an alright place for a ten hour break, to fuel and get out for a minute, or to grab a quick snack for the road.
