I have lived just out of Louisville my whole life. Yes there has been an incident or two because sadly, just like every other place on earth, we have a few bad apples also. But incidents like those mentioned above have been few and far between and were usually between people that knew each other. The Wal Mart is nice. It's usually well kept, friendly cashiers (though there's always that one!) And good meat! Like every store of course the closest to the sell by dates are on top but that doesn't mean they go bad that actual day, companies are just required to sell within a period of time. Plus you can freeze it and save it until you're ready for it. But I love the meat there and the prices are better than any other grocery store in any surrounding county! It's a smaller wal Mart than most so it may not have every single little thing the one in Starkville or Philadelphia may have but it has most anything you could think of! Never go anywhere at night alone! Thats common sense! But Louisville is not some wild West town! It is patrolled by police regularly, city and county! The schools have all raised their total grades and Nanih Waiya, a school in southeast Winston county about 15 minutes away (same county) is rated an A+ and are back to back 1A football state champs! Louisville is full of great people that will help anyone they can! So please don't let reviews from people that live in a different town and county detour you from our town. We may not have a lot of clubs or anything for that matter but we take care of each other and if you stop by our little town then that means you also! Bad things happen everywhere! But I can assure you, in Louisville/Winston county Mississippi, if you're in need or in danger whomever is present will step in to help! The previous review that mentioned the attempted robbery that happened at Wal-Mart failed to mention it was done by a meth head who has been in prison for a long time now and that he was stopped within a moment after snatching the woman's purse by several people in the parking lot that heard her yell! They ran him down and held him there until cops showed up. He didn't get 20 yards away! That's because there are wayyyy more good than bad here! So y'all come see us! We'd be proud to have you! read more
