Asked for help with an item and received 3 different employees & 3 excuses why they couldn't find it for me but arrived again the next day and a different employee helped me and found that item. I shouldn't have to make such an efforts to get something they have available for me to purchase with money. read more

A couple of weeks ago I visited in this location with my daughter, the cashier made a simple error with my payment method since I wanted to pay $5 cash and the rest on my card, she accidentally put in $50 cash and didn't know how to fix it so she called for her supervisor. Her supervisor came over to register 9 and asked what the problem was and my cashier simply explained and said it was an honest mistake and asked for help on how to fix it, the supervisor was practically yelling at my cashier right in front of me, my cashier was at least 16 or 17 if I remember correctly she had yellow under her name on her badge which I believe means that she is a minor. I am baffled at the fact that a supervisor would do that in front of a customer. It makes me not want to come back! I truly feel sorry for my cashier that day, Walmart make sure your supervisors are nice to your employees! read more

This is by FAR the best Wal-mart in the area. The previous review was basically angry because the customer service staff wouldn't take back a phone that the person had USED FOR A MONTH, had no box for, and no receipt for. News flash: NO STORE that I've ever heard of will give a cash refund in such an instance. In my experience, the staff is friendly, helpful, and fairly easy to find (which is not the case in every Wal-mart). The layout of the store is friendly and inviting, and the store is always clean and neat, when I've visited. The store manager (Troy, I believe it is) does a great job, and the Department Managers--particularly Jerry and Catherine--all work hard and are very helpful. I also now know one of the assistant managers by name (Ty), and he has been nothing but helpful as well. Overall, it's a great store--one of the best Wal-mart stores I've ever been to. read more

This Walmart is the best store I have been to in a very very long time and I am very happy with the service that I got from a young lady named Audra in a yellow vest it was about 8pm and I needed her help with finding something and she helped me even tho she had a person yelling at her about the line. I waited I didn't mind the wait and it didnt take long she was very fast at getting the person checked out and was able to help me.Thank you Walmart.for the great service again. So...We went into Walmart to buy four new tires. These tires were on Walmart.com for $117, but the store computer had the price at $143 a tire. The gentleman helping me called the manager and asked to match the price. The manager told him no, that I needed to make the purchase through the Internet site to get that price. Here is my dilemma, I have $325 worth of Great Bend gift certificates that I wanted to use to buy the tires, which can't be used on the internet. I asked to speak to the Manager. After about 5 minutes he comes back to the automotive section with a look like how dare you bother me. Jake, the Co-Manager proceeds to tell me that Walmart and Walmart.com are two different companies and that he will not match the price. In the meantime the original guy trying to help me is on the line with customer service to see if we can take the gift certificates and use them to buy a Walmart gift card that can be used on the internet. He try's to tell Jake this and Jake tells him to "shut up, I am handling this, just be quite". Now, I'm appalled, I'm shaking I'm so upset by how he is looking and speaking to me and disrespecting an associate in front of all the customers standing in automotive. I tell Jake I want to talk to the other manager, he says that he is on vacation, so I tell him I want to talk to the next higher manager. He tells me "call 1800WALMART". Of course, I ask, are you sure that isn't another company. He continues to glare at me while I proceed to call. Then the automotive guys tells Jake what he was originally trying to do with the gift card and Jake just glares at us and walks away! I have NEVER been so embarrassed and disrespected in public like I was today. I'm waiting to hear back from the District Manager, could be into next week before that happens. In the meantime, we still don't have new tires ordered. I'm livid and they poor guy in automotive looked like someone kicked his puppy! read more

Around January bought a lot of curtains for the entire house to spruce it up with the intention of returning the ones that didn't go well with the decor. We decided not to invest in our home but sell instead. Planned on returning all curtains. In February while we were away a pipe busted and flooded the first floor of our home. It was devastating and heartbreaking trying to clean up and repair the damages. I'm a single mom on disability with no extra income. I've been working all these months on repairs when in June I came across the curtains still in original packages unopened I was thrilled because I was so in need of the $250 I paid for the curtains. Although the curtains, new lamp still in box and a few other items were in the closet in a room that wasn't damaged by the water, the box I kept receipts got soaked and the cheap ink on the receipts vanished. Without the receipts I expected that Wal-Mart would only refund my money via gift card. To this day I get heart palpitations as I recall how I explained the 5-6 months delay in returning the items due to directing my focus on cleaning up and repairing damages to our flooded home and how they denied my refund because I have no receipts and items are no longer in the computer. I was shocked and explained my income is very limited, I have two children, I can't afford to lose that much money, they were purchased in good faith that I could returned anything I didn't use and explained I have receipts that are blank pieces of moldy paper due to getting wet. I told them I could show them identical items on their shelves that very day. It didn't matter, didn't have same bar code. Offered to bring in proof of our tragedy they said it wasn't that they didn't believe me, said they were sorry we have been going through such a difficult time and refused any reimbursement for all the curtains and crystal floor lamp. It sickens me as Wal-Mart advertises on their site --"It's our mission to create opportunities so people can live better. We consider it our responsibility to make a positive impact in the communities we serve. Whether it's through the grants we provide to the thousands of organizations that share our mission or through the inspiring volunteer efforts of Walmart associates, we are passionate about helping people live better. One community at a time. "..help our communities around the world overcome natural disasters." And yet it is too much to ask, impossible and beyond their capability to assist a local single mother by honoring the request for Wal-Mart to consider accepting items new unopened in original packaging that were purchased at this Great Bend location for refund without the receipt under the circumstances due to the disaster the family recently experienced. My lack of support for our local Wal-Mart has little effect on their finances but their lack of support for us has affected our quality of life and created greater hardship. read more

I have heard many people say if they had purchased something that didn't work or wuit working, they could take it back to Wal-Mart and didn't have any trouble getting money back or a new one. I have even known people who had something for a long time and needed money so they took what the had been using and took it back and got their money back. NOT ME. I bought a phone about a month ago,admittedly it was an inexpensive one but after a month, it wouldn't work. I had thrown the box away because I am moving and they gave me a big hassle. The customer service person told me to go back to appliances and get one exactly like ti so they would have the bar code. I did this, a young man immiediately said if you donb't have the receipt, I can't help you. I told him what the customer service person said and he helped me find the box like Ihad purchased and showed me some other phones. He was not a salesperson at all, didn't offer to tell me anything about any other phone. He did not say a word to me about his having the authority to say the phone could or could not be returned. When I finished my other shopping, I went to the service counter again and another person was there (she had been there the first time, but wasn't the one who waited on me. I told her I had the box wisth the UPC code and she said they called from back there and they wouldn't accept the refune. I told them they could keep their stuff and I wouldn't be back. read more
