Although this Walmart is nearest to my home, but as of today, I refuse to shop here anymore. So many everyday grocery items are not available -- those that are pretty standard at any grocery store. Walmart kidnapped me today, and I am not speaking in a figurative or allegorical sense they held me against my will. My wife purchased an item for 6.97 and went to the self checkout and used her bank card. The machine was out of paper, but a little was sticking out so I pulled it out. Apparently it was from the last purchase, not mine. They were Checking tickets and after they looked at my wife's ticket they told to step back while they called someone. it was humiliating and degrading so I became unpleasant. When the supervisor arrived I asked to step out of the line where we could talk. Had she done that we could have gone to any terminal to prove that it was charged on my wife's card. They literally kidnapped us and that is a crime. Because they would not listen to me I became belligerent and they said just go after holding me about 10 minutes. read more

This Walmart offers the service sending money Walmart to Walmart for which they charge a reasonable fee. Long story short they stole over 600 from my wife. They retrieved the transaction back to origin and never gave the money back to my wife, this is fraud. We talked to the store managers and to their corporate office. No solution, no money and no accountability for their mistake. Hats off to Walmarts curb side pickup during this Covid-19 pandemic. Their app is easy to use and keeps you informed of out of stocks or substitutions. Although selections are more limited the fact that I do not have to go into a grocery store during this time is well worth it. Their staff remains friendly and positive but cognizant of the need of social distancing. This order even included some free samples of new product. Nice touch. I am loving this so much it may become my new normal even after the pandemic! read more

From the front door I noticed that all of the carts were available to customers they were nine rows from front to back and every single handicapped cart was plugged in and fully powered it's 11:02 AM here in the store and the store is packed to the hilt it's the best looking business I've seen. I went in last night to get some fishing gear for a upcoming video. I found the selection of tackle to be very slim mostly catering to only 3 species of fish and one being saltwater only available over 100 miles away. I knew what I needed and ask the guy for help and he told me hey I'm sorry. I hunted a couple of times in my life but I don't fish. My honest reaction was shock why hire someone to work in hunting and fishing/sporting goods if they have very little knowledge of their profession? read more

While I agree this is your typical Walmart when it comes to things they carry, I have to say, so far it is not your typical Walmart when it comes to customer service. I stopped in here to get a few things and hopefully miss out on the lines in the College Station Walmart (they refuse to open extra lanes even when the lines are 5 carts long) and I was pleasantly surprised by the employees. The place was clean and every person I walked by had something nice to say and a smile on their face. I rarely see even the greeters at a Walmart smile, so this to me was a big deal. Went here last night looking for some last minute fishing gear. Already knowing what I wanted and needed I found the selection very slim. I asked the man working in hunting and fishing if they had certain items and he had no idea what I was talking about and it was definitely simple questions.... he finally told me he has hunted before but he doesn't fish..... When it comes to grocery shopping or household misc shopping, this is my go to wal mart. I don't feel like driving all the way across town when this store is close to home. Reasons why I gave a 2 star rating are as follows: 1. Customer service is awful. I went in today, for example, to buy a specific item that showed up on my Walmart.com as available. I asked a manager who was stocking toys if the item was here because I could not find it. Instead of taking me to the aisle, I was pointed in the direction to go. I searched again and couldn't find the item. I told the same man and he got up from stocking toys and went to the beginning of the aisle, pointed and said they are out of what I was looking for. I asked if they had any in the back and he asked a worker who was walking around drinking a Dr.pepper to see if any were in the back. She told him she was on break and walked off along with him. Left me there wondering what was going on and if I was being helped. Awful customer service. 2. The chicken thighs in the bags are always busted and leak. We have came home and unloaded groceries only to smell rotten chicken more than once. I mentioned it to a man in that department one day when every single bag I picked up was leaking. I choose this store for location only. If there was another store closer I would not choose to go to this store. read more

I understand that our businesses are operating during a pandemic and times are hard. However, I have had this problem MULTIPLE times at this store. This store is my go to for piercing jewelry and EVERY single time I go it takes me at least 15 minutes to get someone to help me even with the "ask for help" button on the pin pad in the jewelry section. I recently visited on 12/29/2020 and I continuously pressed the help button and patiently waited while employee after employee passed me by. I finally asked an employee in the shoe section for help and instead she directed to walk myself to the fitting room to ask them. Well, NO ONE was at the fitting room either. I returned to jewelry one last time and pressed the button hoping for help. I spent a half hour waiting. No employees even offered help. I finally left extremely frustrated and I will not return. I work in customer service and this was by far the worst experience and I didn't even interact with more than one employee. You've lost my business for sure. read more
