Most of the staff is pleasant, but a few, like the main pharmacist, are very rude and condescending. They lie about prices, they lie about refills, they lie when I say I've talked to them about an issue in the past. They don't listen. I've tried to state my problems with them multiple times, and they either don't listen or ignore what I'm saying. I would rather buy my meds from a shady street vendor than ever set foot in this hellhole again.

Their online COVID testing appointment making, does not work…read more Plain and simple tried several different variations of trying to set up one or the other (rapid or the test that takes a couple days to get back) after putting in all my information and submitting for an appointment, the screen keeps reloading and tells me there's no stores In the area so after being on the phone with the robot and after multiple button presses, I FINALLY got an actual human that transferred me to the pharmacy where MICHEAL picked up told me that the rapid test are not available at this location. Even tho previously to this phone call, I had tried setting up an appointment with both the rapid and the other one. Both failed to submit an appointment online. After I have told Micheal this I ask if he can help make an appointment "right now, verbally, over the phone, in this moment" I've have the most absolute difficulty trying to do it online and his answer was "No" Straight up "No" No... you can't help me? No... you aren't gunna go see if there's any way you can make this easier? I will come in to the store unmasked and speak directly to Micheal if that is what he would like? Micheal would you like to get sick and become frustrated because you can't schedule an appointment with an actual human that was more capability than a computer system?

I asked if they could give me one or two until I came back and filled it when i was paid. This was never a problem before as they just took it out of my next prescription. This time, however, they said they would have to charge me 8 bucks. They offered no explanation for the change, and refused to budge. Afterwards, I did what consumers do and posted a one star review on Yelp with this same explanation... What I didn't know at the time was that the owner of Hugo's was on my agency's board of directors and Hugo's was a financial donor to our agency (Prairie Harvest Mental Health) as well. When the CEO and my supervisor of my agency discovered my review, i was told to remove it.. I removed it as my job was in jeopardy. I am returning it now as I no longer fear losing my job by this blatantly unethical attempt to silence criticism. I refuse to be bullied. I will leave it up to whoever reads this to decide if the owner of Hugo's pressured my agency's CEO to have me remove it. Hugo's is an unethical company and will use whatever means to silence any criticism of it.

He was joking about the medication I take out loud for other workers and other customers in the store to hear. I was very embarrassed and felt like my privacy did not matter. Walls deserves a 5 star, but the pharmacists customer service was awful. Other than him I've never had any issues.

Pros: - decent produce department, even if part of it creeps into Dairy - new freezers! This was the biggest area of contention for me originally. Now you can actually SEE what's behind the doors! - nice meat and seafood case Cons: - pre-sliced meats in the deli. Why do the grocery stores around here do that? - no organic milk displayed with the conventional milk. You have to walk into the worst area of the store (you know, that little half-aisle where 2 aisles converge) to get any organic products. - congestion at the front of the store. If there are more than 2 customers in line, forget about being able to get around to continue your shopping. - front doors are too small. Either dedicate one as IN and the other OUT, or widen the doors. I always feel like I'm pushing past someone, or they, me. - the prices are not great. Add in the fact that the local paper gets jack for coupons, and I'm not saving nearly as much money as I'd like. Let me say that I love Grand Forks. But, as someone who has lived in big cities and small towns around the country, Grand Forks has very poor choices for buying groceries. It's possible to have a pleasant, peaceful time grocery shopping. Probably not here, but this seems to be the best there is at the moment, so I'll go with it. I can't comment on the location in EGF, as I've never been, but whatever you do, stay out of the other Hugo's in GF...yikes!

The amount of unprofessionalism and rudeness is astonishing. There is one female who I believe is some sort of lead or supervisor that is by far the worst one. After multiple encounters we have decide to take our business elsewhere.
