But the selection at the other stores won't be as great (speaking from a US consumer point of view) There are a couple of Walmart's in Merida. (Of course its a huge city). We are staying in the city center and get a car on the weekends to head out of town. We actually like the Walmart Campestre store better even though they both have pretty much the same thing. I will say though there is a better wine selection at this one vs the Campestre store. Super clean, super organized store. They also have a subway and mcdonalds as part of the store.

I ordered at the kiosks and my order was ready in about 5 minutes or so... -I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza and a bottle of water... for less than $3-a true Costco bargain! -The pizza was good--plenty of cheese, plenty of pepperoni, the sauce and crust were good. It is one of the anchor stores and flanked by many other shops and restaurants. The Walmart has all the usual home goods, clothes, groceries, bakery, and other departments, though the automotive and garden departments are limited. Products feature Mexican brands, but a few American brands are available. Prices are competitive with most other stores in the area. I went looking for a few groceries to use at my Air BnB and found everything I needed. The check-out is slow. Be prepared to take grocery bags with you or purchase reusable bags at checkout. Disposable plastic bags are not available nor allowed.
