I would like to be more generous with my stars, and honestly I think three is very generous. Here is why. First, Walmart does provide a great price on a full service synthetic oil change. It is better than any other location that I can find, and because it is Walmart, I would assume there would be a mechanism in place to ensure that a failsafe process was enacted to ensure the consumer was provided everything they were told they should have received. Unfortunately, the price was a great deal or so I thought, and during the spring break I had all three of my kids cars oil changed. First, two are the same make but different model. Unfortunately they installed the wrong oil filter on the second car and that resulted in a host of issues including a leak. They did clean up the mess and re-changed oil and new filter. Second, on each car I had my kids ask, "dad, weren't they supposed to check and top off fluids?" I went back to the advertisement and it was supposed to include that as well as an inspection to report the state of the vehicle. One car needed more coolant, all three needed wiper fluid, and a third needed both transmission and brake fluid. I was a bit shocked to learn about this, as they had to get the items replaced away from the Walmart here. Yes it is a first world problem but it was one we paid to have completed. WORST SERVICE EVER! I scheduled online an oil change for May 3rd at 9:30am. When I got there, they told me they ran out of my oil filter the previous day. I asked to reschedule but the person I spoke with couldn't understand me. I asked to speak to a manager and the manager said they will have the oil filter next weekend so I rescheduled for May 10th at 7:30am. I asked the manager to notify me beforehand if they haven't received the oil filter. On May 10th at 6:30am, I get a text notification from Walmart reminding me of my appointment that day. I arrive at 7:15am and it's the same technician I met last week and he tells me again that they don't have the oil filter. I asked why I wasn't notified and he gave this dumbfounded look. I told him they need to work on their customer service and communication and his response was "This is Walmart" implying people shouldn't expect good service if any service at all. Upper management needs to look into this location for retraining or replacing the employees. And if upper management won't take action, then corporate needs to replace the management team with people who will. read more

Upon my scheduled 2/20/26 Maxima auto oil change appointment at the Walmart Care Center located at 1400 Lead Hill Blvd, Roseville CA, I was told that no Maxima oil filters were in stock & the oil change appointment was cancelled. A Better business system would not have allowed any online Nissan Maxima appointments at the Walmart Roseville Auto Center until after 3/7/26 when the Oil filters were promise to be in stock. Today I picked up my online order from Walmart: engine oil, oil filter, and engine air filter. I went straight to the Walmart Auto Center to get an oil change. I didn't ask them to install the air filter -- I planned to do that myself later. After the service, I opened the air filter box and found an old, dirty filter inside. That seemed suspicious, so I checked under the hood and saw that my old dirty air filter was still in place. I have no idea where this dirty filter in the box came from. Now I'm not even sure if they actually changed my oil or used the oil filter I provided. On top of that, I found oily handprints on my windshield, both the inside and outside of the door, the steering wheel, and the gear shifter. Very disappointing experience. Special shout-out to Christian & the female "manager" for being too lazy to do their jobs. Christian blatantly lied to me by claiming my drain plug was over torqued, & he needed to cancel the service (after I'd already waited an hour). He told me to take my car back to the Walmart that did my previous oil change. Well, I did. Once I got there, Joseph was able to complete my oil change w/ no issue. He also said that Christian was likely lying because he didn't feel like doing his job, and wanted to pass it off to another shop. He also called their store back, but the manager seemed uninterested. Joseph said he'd call their higher ups, because it's clear that this Walmart auto center doesn't want to carry their weight, and would rather pass the work off to other people (by also telling you a longer wait time to deter you). Worst customer service at this place. I went in when they opened up. First, it says they open at 7 but the guys will take 20 minutes opening the door and walk around for another 10. So really its about 7:30. I show up to get a set of tires changed. Guy says theres no technician to change them. Says better to come with an appointment, i said this was a last minute need. He just kept telling me random times to come back. I asked what time would a technician be in to do the real work since it looks like he can only check your tire pressure. He said he doesnt know what time, maybe come back around 8-9-10? He said "better make appointment" and just walked away. Since he didnt speak english well it was hard to understand. I ordered tires to be shipped to store and installed by Wallmart on the app and in the app my Tesla vehicle was listed. I get to the store and the associate lady proceeds to tell me that they don't work on Tesla's, ok well kind of confused why the app would let you ship to a location that doesn't work on your vehicle. More importantly and the real reason for my review is that I asked the associate lady if any other Walmart locations in the area worked on Tesla's, she came back less than 3 minutes later and said no other locations in the area work on Tesla's and that she called three locations. We'll first off I knew that wasn't true as she wasn't on the phone long enough to call three locations especially with the lack of customer support when calling these locations to have an associate to actually pickup the phone. Anyways I picked up my tires and called the Folsom CA Walmart and they were very customer service oriented and do work on and install tires on Tesla's. Why lie about it first off I would respect the associate if they just said I do not know if any other locations in the area work on Tesla's. read more

worst shop ever! When I got there she explained to me that they're technician was on break and was going to take lunch soon so it will be a while before my tires could be changed changed. i agreed. She called me 30 minutes later and said that they didn't have the right lug nut wrench to takeoff my Lugnuts. And They would have to deny me service. I called to inquire about a patch job for a tiny screw in the center of my tire. The gal on the phone said, pull up to the far two doors and we'll get you in and out, 20 mins. I drove over immediately and pulled up and waited 20 minutes before someone approached to check us in. There was only 1 car ahead of me. After getting checked in we went inside to grab a couple things...2 hours later!!! For a quick patch job! I got a text that my car was finished. I go to pay at the counter inside and the lady was in an automotive aisle nearby and I asked if she could check me out, she then continued to stock shelves for another 5 minutes until she was done as I stood there waiting. Terribly rude to all the customers who called or asked a simple question. Her name was Terri. I hope she was just having a bad day, because she's turning away a lot of potential future customers. read more

My mom went in for an oil change and her car is a stick shift. When the oil change was done, she saw them pushing her car and she asked them what was going on. the worker said he couldn't get the car to go into reverse. Is there a special way to do it? my mom has a 6 speed you literally just go to the R and shift it even shows it on the shift knob she then asked if he pressed the clutch in before shifting to reverse. He then admitted that he didn't touch the clutch at all. If you try to shift a stick shift without pressing the clutch you're going to mess something up which he did, now walmart is not trying to take responsibility or pay. i'm writing this to warn everyone about the random people they hire with no experience or knowledge in the car industry and if Walmart auto does not correct, this legal action will be took read more

Mason went above and beyond with customer service to help us tonight. The auto center was super busy and not once did he act like we were a bother. He came out to the parking lot and tried to help us jump our battery. When that didnt work we brought the battery to the service area and he tested the battery and helped pick out a new one. Once it was installed Mason and Joe double che led everything to make sure we were all good. Thank you Mason and Joe there should be more people in customer service that are as nice and professional as you. I will definitely be back. read more

I come to this Walmart all the time. I've never had any issues. I bring soo many vehicles to this Walmart most of the Technicians know me by name and just call me Anna. The female technician working today 7/25/21 at 2:45 basically didn't want anymore Customers. She had no name tag but was about 5'5" maybe shorter, Hispanic looking stud with black hair. First she said it was a 3 hr wait. I said that's fine I have shopping to do. Then she said, well could you come back tomorrow. I said no we are leaving for LA. Then she said well can you go to pleasant grove, it's only 3 of us working. I said I guess I really don't have a choice since your clearly not going to help me. She then proceeded to close and pull down the shop doors while we were still standing there. Like. Wtf. Never again. And that's a damn shame cause we come all the time. She needs to go. If she can't handle afternoon heat or rush of customers then she should get a different job. Smh read more

I went to Wal-Mart's automotive care center on the 21 October 2018 to get an oil change. I paid for Fram's high end oil filter and the customer service rep. removed it in front of me off the shelf and gave it to the automotive technician whereupon, the oil change took place and was completed; I paid for it and left the facility. For the next two weeks I got horrible gas mileage and also went in for my biannual smog check. My vehicle did not pass and the technician noticed that the distributor had been turned to 4 degrees from it's proper 12 degrees setting. I took the vehicle to my brother who noticed that the wrong oil filter was installed and it was changed to a Bosch high end filter. He also noticed that the timing nut adjacent to the distributor was moved all the way to the left when, it was supposed to be on it's mark. He fixed the timing also. Since the timing was tampered with, the oxygen censor was also ruined and had to be replaced before the smog retest. I can't prove that the Wal-Mart automotive technician tampered with the timing however, I did prove that the technician swapped the Fram oil filters from the high end one I paid for to one of lesser quality. Wal-Mart's customer service lady gave me a refund and did not comment on the problem. I give a one star because of the Fram filter switch. I will be going elsewhere for my next oil change AND I am installing a security nut for the distributor timing bolt; at least the next technician will not have the ability to turn the timing nut out of position. read more
