The Walliserstube is in a good location, in particular when your kids go to ski school, as the meeting point is just there. They have a nice terrace and the ambiance inside is great. Service is friendly and prompt. BUT: the food is really only average. We went there three times, tried soups, Älplermagroni and Hörnli with minced meat sauce (both local pasta dishes) as well as raclette (molten cheese). The highlight were the chicken wings with chillie sauce. But the local specialties were all quite tasteless and dull.
