An excellent alternative to the abysmally bad Home Depot in the area. There are actual people here…read morewho know what the hell they are doing and WANT to help you. They also stock basic essentials such as a wide variety of washers, wingnuts, and screws that the nearby HD is out of. While their power tool section leaves a lot to be desired, they do carry some basic DeWalt and Milwaukee drivers and drills. Their hardware section is the standout- this isn't a hobbyist place like the HD down the road, this is a place real builders and makers could come and get all the fasteners they need (and they'll be in stock!!!). Plus, this is a local place not some corporate behemoth. The times I've been here I've always found worthwhile help. Unlike my experiences at the HD where employees spend more time checking their Facebook than checking on you. If you're a real carpenter or construction person, skip the HD and head to Stubb's.

When it was our turn to have the house painted and repaired, I called Aaron Painting. I was not disappointed. The final price came in right on the estimate. The guys who did the painting showed up a few minutes early each day. They got right to work. Each day they did a visual inspection; made a plan; and worked all day. After the first day, I realized I had made a mistake in the color. I decided that I wanted the cedar shingles and the brick to be different colors. Don (the owner) said no problem and got the color I wanted. Don double checked some details with me and kept me apprised of the progress. A week after mostly completing the job they were back to finish up the details, some of which I would have never noticed. (Weather was a factor in not being able to come to the house.) Several of our neighbors have stopped by, asked our painters name and complemented the bold change we made to the house. If it had not been done so well it would not look as great.
