In the spring we are constantly dodging hanging caterpillars. Then we spend about $60/ month for unlimited car washes for 2 vehicles. The caterpillar castings and tons and tons of bird poop land on our cars. The castings are almost impossible to remove in the first car wash and we often use the car wash service two times in a row. The tree was also ugly. Very ugly. I believe it was a maple. But it was misshapen. And diseased. The bark was all moldy and gross. It had rotting limbs in the center. A major limb fall into the street this year, causing power to go out for a few hours in our neighborhood. We got a quote from Southern 401. It was a great price. Although we only intended to cut our overhanging limbs, Southern 401 advised us that it would cause the tree to become extremely unstable because of the imbalance in weight. So we explained it to our neighbor and made a deal. These guys have been taking their time, taking care not to hit our fence which is pretty much right next to the tree. They've been stacking up the useable firewood -even stacking them up cross cross. They blew all of the saw dust off our property and swept up all of the leaves and twigs. I made them lunch and had some time to chit chat. They're really nice guys. I'd recommend them to all of my friends!
