This was a cool area in Orlando filled with different bars. I saw online they have several concerts and DJ performances here and wanted to check it out. You have to go through the main entrance and get scanned by security before entering. From there you can bounce around to several bars with different themes and music. They had basketball games playing on the large projector. They had bars in the courtyard area as well as in the different buildings. It was a Friday night and there was a large crowd of people dressed in banana outfits. I asked security what was going on and he said there was a banana bar crawl going on. I went online and saw they had their annual event in Orlando. It was entertaining to see all the people hanging out and playing games in banana outfits. That was a unique experience for me. Unfortunately, I did not qualify for the drink specials because I was not wearing an outfit.

Adult cousins ( 23 & 28) enjoyed this block party. Fortunately we were in Orlando over the weekend, as there is no party during the week. They suggested taking UBER rather than drive. This time they were dropped of and took UBER back; however they had a long wait for ride.

My wife and I come here every year for Halloween. They close the street off for a massive block party that is awesome and always memorable. It's $5 to get in and there is a police presence which I personally like because you never know when something can get out of hand. There are beautiful ladies serving cold beer on the street and several bars to choose from if you want mixed drinks or wine instead. You are free to roam pretty much anywhere with your drink. There is a large stage outside with live music and a costume contest. This year my wife coerced me into participating in the costume contest which was really fun. During intermissions there is a DJ keeping the mood happening. Additionally, the Wall Street adjoining bars/restaurants all have dance music playing as well. If you have never been here before I would definitely stop by for a visit. The City of Orlando closes the street down multiple times a year for large events like this and they are always worth going to.

I like it. There was a $5. cover for Mardi Gras. There was a line but they were polite + fast. It's outdoors so there is a nice breeze this time of yr and fresh air despite smokers. Drinks are $9. for a drink and a soda. Music varies...

Bars after bars and awesome music!

This is totally a bar crawl district in Orlando. I loved it, and it made me think of Rush and Division in Chicago. I loved how there are different themes in each of the bars. There's inside and outside seating areas. There's fun music and a variety of music where ever you go. It's fun that you can drink right in the middle if the street. It is cool, and you just find street parking in the area or walk from Lake Eola. I like it a lot! My favorite was The Other Bar just because I loved the music there the most!

This is a cool place to hang out with friends... just as ling as you are not bothered by huge crowds because this gets crowded. I love the Cantina Restaurant and the Hen House bar... However, this street is packed with neat places that vary in style.

Man this place was poppin during St. Patty's Day!! They charge cover which wasn't too bad like $5 i think. But this place is pretty small for how many people were there. It got to the point where I felt like I was standing in the middle of everyone's walk way. I couldn't find a spot where we could just stand and chill. If you come to these block parties you definitely need to be drunk otherwise you might get annoyed with all the pushing and shoving and all obnoxious dunktards running around. Luckily I was in a happy mood but I can see myself wanting to knock a few bitches out [girls and guys] One of the bars was playing their music soooo loud that it was mixing with the music playing outside. It was quite annoying because it sounded like a VERY BAD mix. We ended up going inside one of the bars because the outside was getting too packed. We ended up staying in the bar and dancing [don't remember the name] the rest of the night. Overall it was fun and I had a good time.

Real good vibes. Orlando obviously has no shortage of places to eat, drink, and gather, but Alfie's belongs to that rare category of venues that feel equally at home in a major metropolis. It's the kind of spot that would fit seamlessly into Los Angeles's best neighborhoods: think Gold Line in Highland Park or the Vinyl Room at the Hollywood Palladium. Not because they're carbon copies, but because they share that intangible quality of genuine discovery and cultural curiosity. The crowd ( age range 25 - 35 mostly ) was genuinely engaged with one another. People were actually talking, actually present, not hunched over their phones. That alone felt invigorating. There was an undeniable spark in the room. Alfie's wasn't chasing trends; it was simply allowing them to emerge naturally. What impressed me most was how they brought it all together .. Retro stereo equipment and vinyl players from the 50s mixed with a bar area that's super sleek and modern. Conversations, music, the lounge itself .... all came together in a way that felt alive and IN THE MOMENT. When my LA friends visit, Alfie's is on the list. Go after 9 or 10 PM and plan to stay for at least two hours. That's when you really see the scene develop and come alive. Bring your ID: they card at the door. Even at my age, I still get carded. No complaining about that ! lol

However, we initially entered to get a picture in the photobooth for our friends birthday. There was no one at the door checking IDs. After we all piled into the photobooth, someone walked up and asked for our IDs. He wanted us to exit the booth to get them. Eventually said ok because we had already paid and on a timer. But he was very impatient. Let me add that there was not a single person in the entire place. NO ONE. Let me also add that almost our entire group is almost 40. So we're obv not underage. With the way he approached us and was completely impatient, we were a little turned off and left. Which lost them money on our entire group. He followed us out the door as we left. It was a weird experience especially when there was literally no one else in there. The music was good but I doubt and of us will to back based on that experience alone.

When I first arrived there around 7pm, which is there opening time, the security staff were just showing up, and they didn't think the facility was opened yet. So I went to my restaurant first, had dinner, then came back around 8:30. The place was open, and there was no line. Security staff screened me using a handheld metal detector, and kindly let me in. They did inform me that I could not bring outside food with me, but were very nice to valet it for me. I directly went to the bar and just had a diet coke for 4 dollars. Yup, it's a little pricey, but what did you expect for a tourist area? Honestly, I didn't come here for the food and drinks. It's obvious you know why I came. The star attraction is of course, the mechanical bull. It's not a PBR without the bull, and there were a few people riding it. Of course, I took a ride too, and had a lot of fun (hint: if you want a fun ride at your own pace, be sure to tip the ride operator). The operator did an excellent job controlling the bull at my desired pace, and it was a great practice for the real thing (yes my friends, I been cleared to ride the real ones again ). After riding, I headed back out. Security and check in area gave me my bag back and wished me farewell. I was quite impressed with the great service and friendly staff, especially from security (the bouncers). They took great care of me, and mechanical bull operator did a great job giving everyone a fun ride. The music was pretty loud and they were some people line dancing too. The bar area is both indoors and outdoors, so if you don't want to go though security or pay cover charge, you can still drink outdoors. But the indoor area has the better vibe, and the bull ride, so it is better to be indoors. There were saddle seats too, but they were occupied when I was there. I wasn't sure what's the cover charge as I had a coupon to get in for free. This country bar is definitely much better than the defunct Cowgirls bar that was at Icon Park. The vibes here seemed a lot better. The drinks looked to be a bit expensive, but at least the bull rides are free if you buy a food or drink. And parking is validated too. So it's well worth it for a bull ride and free parking to go through the friendly security check and buy a food or drink. Overall: A

I believe it may have been the Havana Ballroom. There was plenty of food, drinks, and mingling. The Cuba Libre Restaurant staff were great, and the venue was well laid out and worked for this event very well. When we arrived around 6:30 PM on a Saturday evening for our event, we first mingled around the tables and near the cash bar. There were a bunch of large tables that we began to fill out. As our program began and announces made and awards given out, appetizers were passed out. We were offered Guacamole Cubano, Mama Amelia's Empanadas, and Shrimp Cocktail which we passed around to the entire table. Personally, I skipped the guacamole and shrimp dishes but absolutely loved the empanadas. Yum! Then, an individual Cuban House Salad was passed out with red wine vinaigrette. This was also quite tasty. Next came the entrees including a choice of Salmon Paradiso, Ropa Vieja, Citrus Chicken, or Paella Vegetariana. I was trying to decide between the Ropa Vieja (beef brisket) and the Citrus Chicken. While the Citrus Chicken sounded perfect, I asked the serving staff their advice, and they recommended the Ropa Vieja for a true taste of Cuba. I was happy that I did even though it may have been more heavy and with a kick than I was expecting. I'm still glad I ordered it though. It was wonderfully prepared! And then, everyone received Cuban Flan for dessert. The Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar celebrates Cuban heritage and explores Cuban flavors, music, art, and traditions. The mission of the restaurant is to provide an "escape" to Havana through exciting food and beverages and entertainment experiences to celebrate the Cuban people and their culture. Orlando hosts one of several of this restaurant around the United States. This restaurant is in the midst of the Pointe Orlando. You can find details on their website: https://cubalibrerestaurant.com/en/orlando. You can find menus, entertainment, blogs, make reservations, specials, and more. The Cuba Libre Restaurant is open for brunch on weekends from 12 PM to 4 PM, for dinner Monday through Thursday from 5 PM to 10 PM, Friday from 5 PM to 10:30 PM, Saturday from 4 PM to 10:30 PM, and Sunday from 4 PM to 10 PM. Happy Hour is at the bar and bar tables on weekdays from 5 PM to 6 PM and weekends from 4 PM to 6 PM. They have a special Chef's Tasting menu during dinner. They also host weekend nightlife and shows on Fridays with a live band from 7:30 PM to 12:15 AM and a DJ and dancing from 10 PM to 2 AM on both Fridays and Saturdays. It was certainly a great event and a fun place to be!

Since more than a few sunsets have passed between the late 80s and now it is essentially my generation's classical music. So when I heard about a show in Kissimmee, I was ready to hit the road in my midlife crisis, red sports car with a good friend. Sun on the Beach is located in Old Town Kissimmee, close to a bunch of hotels, restaurants, and of course, other entertainment venues. There is some parking, but I left my car in the hotel and we Ubered over. The space itself looks like an industrial warehouse that was converted to a nightclub with lots of open space, kind of like classic Wynwood. Judy Torres' performance was 6/5, no doubt! Her singing took me back to the all ages parties in the late 80/s & early 90/s, to borrowing my parents' Cutlass Cierra and going with my then girlfriend to sit behind the airport and watch the planes #iykyk. She dances with great moves as if our generation never aged. Before her act, we sat through two hours, more or less of a warm-up DJ act that was all sorts of mix from freestyle to Bachata to Reggaeton. The other warm-up act was Sammy EXO, who sang a few tracks. Besides the long warm-up act and wait between the headline performance, my friend and I waited in crowded bar that could've used another bartender to get a couple of sweet watered down drinks. I know we're adults and extensively have a little better tolerance but come on you want to feel a little bit of a buzz. Besides that after driving three hours from Miami, we might have been a little tired :) I had to ask around to get at least one chair so we could get to recharge a bit. The only seating was in the VIP area. Admittedly, I know yeah VIP but maybe having some lounge areas or some seats at the bar would make it a little more comfortable. Another complaint is that there is no in and out like with a wristband. Heck we couldn't even go to their outside bar. Although it has the same name and was in the same property, we couldn't go to the other bar for a change of scene or just to get a break from the long warmup act.
