My wife had a very negative experience in April 1. She and my daughter bought a pendant for around…read more$120, had it boxed, went out for dinner, went back to their hotel, opened the box only to discover it was empty. When they returned the next day, the person in the shop refused to believe their story, said they should have come back the day before (the shop was closed before they discovered the empty box), basically called them liars, and refused to even enter into a polite conversation about what happened and what to do about it. While I don't think what they did was deliberate fraud, I do believe they made a mistake, refused to consider, that possibility, and basically took $120 and delivered nothing. We stopped charges via our credit card and did not pay them in the end. Needless to say, we wouldn't shop there ever again.

The shop assistant was friendly and brought me another pair. They were also faulty. I told her I would like to buy the shoes but at a reduced price. Suddenly the store manager appeared from nowhere and told me" his shop is not a bazar" and that I am a "stupid cow " and that" I should leave his shop immediately". After asking him why he was being so rude, he repeated what he said before and I left feeling completely baffled.

The store is not big but cute and offers a wide variety of toys - some are meant specifically for small babies, some others are for kids of any age and some Teddy bears are special editions / replicas of the old bears from early 20th century - these are either not for sale or are very expensive and are meant for collectors and not children. The shop assistant was very helpful and since I already knew which toy I am looking for it she immideately looked for it and offered me something else instead once she saw that they don't have the particular one I wanted. Beware - prices are very high, but hey - IT'S STEIFF! And yes - all of those toys have the famous ''button in the ear'' :)

When I was asking him for help he was talking to me only a few words, like he hated me or something. In other shops they offer you a glass of sparkling wine or a coffee and are nice to you, because they appreciate you as a customer and know that when you buy some nice clothes, that are really expensive, it paid off for them that they treated you well. I did not know he was such a narcissistic twat until he went off to WWI and was humbled and matured by the soldiers he met. He really loved his wife, Edith, though who's to say if he would have stayed faithful if they both lived to old age. I had no idea he died at age 28, and he and his wife died within days of each other, and he died on Halloween 1918. There's a painting by Klimt I wanted to see, Death and Life, but unfortunately two of their floors were closed for some renovations, so I was disappointed that I was unable to view it during my visit to Vienna. Very easy to find in MuseumsQuartier, a short walk from Hofburg Palace.

The shop assistants are very knowledgeable and always very happy to help or just have a chat. Could have bought almost a whole bands worth of baby instruments but maybe our friends wont be anymore if I set their children up with banging, strumming and clanging toys!

I pass this store often and think it has some really neat things; however, I don't have kids so I don't shop here aside from the occasional book. (I have to learn German somehow!) I do find the store to be a little pricey, but that comes with the territory - the neighborhood and it being a specialty store.
