All attorneys and staff were very friendly and share a common concern for those persons lacking family support as they age or are disabled in a way that limits their ability to either care for themselves or finances. Of course they offer more than what the Public Trustee does (known as Public Guardian in my parts, and I'm a Private Trustee) but it's a good sign that the services they offer will be handled professionally and with care.

He explained that we would get a voice of the child done. Mr. Mudge arrived to the first case conference unprepared. The initial case conference was scheduled for 15 minutes, it took over 45 minutes to conclude. By the end of the case conference Mr. Mudge was no longer requesting a voice of the child to be done, and was instead agreeing with the respondants counselor that it would not be necessary and instead we would need a two day hearing in order to conclude our case. He then explained to us that we did not have any evidence to support our affidavit, that which we did by form of child protective services report as well as numerous witness statements that he failed to disclose. His laid back approach to law is just another way of saying he is lazy and unprofessional. He does not adhere to a high professional standard. I will never recommend anyone to utilize him or this lawfirm. They are masters at manipulating and deceiving their clients.

After waiting for 8 months to fight these charges and with a hefty retainer paid, this is the stunt they pulled. I received a call 3 days before trial by Mr Peters secretary. This was a Wednesday morning, with trial on Friday. She demanded Seven thousand dollars immediately or Mr Peters would not be defending me Friday morning. This had not been mentioned before that an extra seven thousand dollars would be required up front. A rate of $250 an hour had been agreed upon to which he never had more than 5 hours work into my file. I had the money but I had no way to have it electronically transferred in time. Not to mention she demanded a certified check. Luckily family came through but what is to be said about this type of pressure tactic? As expected the charges were thrown out but this behavior by Howard Peters and his employee has left a bad taste in my mouth. When I asked for a detailed bill I received a one page document with a couple of sentences discussing a handful of conversations undergone on my behalf and one day in court that's it, Eleven thousand dollars gone. I would not recommend doing business with someone who behaves like this. I look forward to him challenging this review someday because I can back up every detail here and a hell of a lot more. I am sure there are those in the law society that would not be impressed with this type of behavior either..
