Over 5+ years I have visited here several times a week and have been impressed with the faculty and especially with the staff. The staff treats the residents with sincere warmth and respect. They can adapt to the changing needs of residents and work well with families and medical providers. They make an effort to provide good meals and a variety of activities.

Also, there has been little to no cleaning, which our family members do regularly. The biggest complaint my family member has is the poor quality of the food. It is often tasteless and 95% of the time served cold. Our resident has to keep food in her room to constantly supplement her diet as she can not eat the food presented. As for the business office, they do not provide what they say they will provide. My family member pays for a lot more than she ever gets....and the staff turnover suggests that they do not hire enough people or pay them enough.

You would think with there advertising and being a national for profit company they could bring in more care workers to give residents better care. Communication is very poor and practically non existent for families. Unless you ask they do not offer any information but if your loved one is trouble they don't seem to know what to do e en after a care plan has been set in place. Care plans are somehow not discussed with staff apparently, because they would call us and ask us what to do. Nursing staff is not very involved. Thank goodness for hospice or my mother-in-law would have very little care at the time she needed it most. The nurse in charge never came to my mother-in-law's room to talk to family and offer comfort or give meds that were needed. Even after my mother-in-law's death we never heard condolences to this day. This company does not offer what they advertise. Recreation, great meals, outings, clean rooms and most important interaction between staff and management.

The Village is a wonderful residential facility for older folks and is not necessarily a nursing home but there are nursing facilities. Explaining this is by offering different levels of housing from no care needed apartments, memory care and assisted living. Amazingly good food in the terrace main dining room. Decorated like a high level restaurant the food is top notch. You can't walk in off the street and dine but need to be the guest of a resident. There are other dining options for residents as well. There are daily activities including a pool, gym, classes on just about everything artistic and holistic, a library, music shows, movies. Visiting a resident I found it very quiet. There is a long waiting list, so long they even have listing closed for now as the wait is in years not months.

The staff are very friendly and professional. The facilities are very clean and don't have any odd smells common to other such facilities. I also like the size of the rooms. Very spacious. There's all kinds of daily activities for residents to participate in, so boredom is a choice here. There's also a small chapel, and a charming bird enclosure. **PROTIP** Use the whiteboard to list any important facts about your loved one. My mother-in-law, for example, has very acute hearing.
