We started looking for a house in Montclair, Glen Ridge, Maplewood, and South Orange areas around Jan 2021. We initially worked with another agent who was local to Montclair, reputable and experienced in that market, however, after 4 months we did not get anywhere. Spring 2021 was a tough competitive market that was getting worse every week. We decided to look for another agent as we felt we needed an extra edge. We feel so lucky to have found Karin in our search. From the first telephone chat, it was obvious she is a top-notch agent, intelligent with great intuition. She is very analytical in her approach and the market analysis. Manj and the Weichert team stood out as the best that Northern, New Jersey had to offer: their rankings are excellent, their social media and marketing reach was strong, and I could tell the type of commitment they would dedicate to selling my home. Oneida is as unprofessional as they come. As we were leaving her listing, my 3-year-old son closed…read morea closet door. She obviously did not appreciate that so she threatened to put him into "time out" and then yelled that he needed to leave the house. I told her that it was rude and unprofessional to speak to a child in that manner. Apparently, a mother cannot stand up for her child because Oneida began arguing with us and told us to "peace out". Even as we were already outside she continued to yell and berate us. It is really sad for an agent to behave so poorly. I feel sorry for the owners of that listing, as they missed out on a opportunity of receiving an offer all due to the poor attitude of their agent. I cannot understand how she continues to maintain her licensure, she obviously has 0 people skills. Please do yourself a favor and hire a more competent agent for your next listing.
