It has lovely views and access to a private island that isn't quite private with plenty of other visitors. Rooms were nice, I had a tremendous view of the ocean. Had a slow drain in the tub in my room that never got resolved. Restaurants were okay. Had the red snapper at one of the restaurants and it was delicious. Nothing else was as impressive. An overall nice resort, might need a bit revamp in the restaurants.

They're in a small, but extremely busy shopping center with a nicely attached parking garage. Good luck finding parking! I realized Amigo is owned by Wal-Mart and they do sell a lot of Great Value branded items, which are the cheapest on the shelves. They have a butcher that makes fresh steaks and churrasco, which is a fatty cut of meat similar to a skirt steak. This cut of meat is a staple in Puerto Rican cuisine and Amigo keeps them stocked daily. It's such a tasty steak, especially when you serve it with chimichurri sauce! OMG! Anyway, this is my go-to grocery store here in San Juan. Did I mention they have valet parking?

Store is laid out nice and is very relaxed inside. Clerk was friendly and it was overall a great alternative experience in Puerto Rico. A bar in a convenience store? Only in P.R.!!
