I've been a Wallgreens customer for nearly 15 years. Originally, my experience with Wallgreens was great. A few years ago, they closed the store near my home, and I switched to the Cornell and Walbridge store. The new store didn't seem quite as efficient, or customer focused, but I liked being able to refill online, and they aren't too far from my house, so I've stuck around. But then I started noticing that my refills were running out before they should, like they were shorting my pill count. Besides that, twice I have ordered refills, and they shelved them before the 7-day holding period is up and I had to reorder. A few days ago I requested two refills using the web site. Both required reauthorization from my doctor. Per Wallgreens, they have not gotten the authorization yet - 4 days so far. But my doc said she authorized it 3 days ago. This is not the first time this has happened. And I just discovered that one of those refill requests just completely disappeared from the website queue, and I have had to place the order again. Once I get these refills filled, I'm switching pharmacies. read more

Terrible pharmacy service. They keep getting my prescriptions wrong. And they won't give me more than a month's supply unless I make a big deal about it and ask them not to bill my insurance. But unless I'm practically looking over their shoulders while they fill it, they still get it wrong. It's the same price for a 1-month supply with insurance as 6-months supply without, so what incentive do they have to do what I ask? Not to mention the horrible nagging 3x-per-day phone calls if you don't pick up your prescription the second it's ready. Never mind that it takes them days to order and process refills. I'm finding a new pharmacy. read more

I find Hillsboro to be a polite welcoming community and this Walgreens does not reflect that, at least at the pharmacy. Unwelcoming and a unnecessarily wrong wait. I rarely write reviews but was compelled to complain about this bad service. read more

I like it how close it is but I would prefer a target the glass on the back wall makes me feel like that want to see u every moment but what I really don't like about it is that anyone can see everyone in the store. We were traveling through town and on a time crunch when we stopped by this Walgreens to have an anti-nausea perception filled for my pregnant sister. They first told is they couldn't do it then told us it would be several hours for them to fill it. I understand it's a hassle to transfer but these pharmacists made no attempt at customer service. We haggled them down to 1 hr and even then they would not commit to a time. We then checked back in with them 30 min later for them to say she did not have a prescription refill and there was nothing they could do. She called her own pharmacist who told her she still had 2 refills left and ended up just contacting the Walgreens here herself. An hour later they finally confirmed the refill and still have a 20 min wait time. This whole time my sister has been puking in the parking lot. To sum it up the pharmacists here make no attempt to provide decent customer service and are very unwilling to do anything above the bare minimum. read more

Walked in to pick up some photos. The line at the photo counter was super long so I decided to walk around for a bit and stay socially distanced. Returned to the photo counter and no one was there. As I walked up to the counter the employee walked away, I stood there for 10 minutes waiting for someone. Then the phone started ringing and that same employee came back to answer the phone. Did not put them on hold but made we wait another 5-7 minutes as he was talking on the phone. Then he FINALLY came over to help me, got my photos, paid with cash and the phone rang again. CRAP. He did not put them on hold to finish the transaction with me. Instead he held on to my cash while talking with another customer on the phone for a good amount of time. Employee finally hung up the phone, gave me my change and never apologized. It just seemed extremely inconsiderate. During the time of COVID people in the store should be in and out and considered a priority. We should not be waiting for every phone call that comes thru. read more

My husband just drove there to get my daughter medicine for an ear infection before it closes at the posted time of 12:00am. He rushed to get there by midnight and at 11:45pm it was completely dark, locked up, closed. Stop advertising that you are open until midnight. Now. read more

Worst customer service! I asked the pharmacy if someone could help me since see if there was an item in the back since the floor was empty. They pager twice. One of the sales rep. No one came to help tell I went back to the pharmacy to make a stink about it. I will not be coming back to this store by the time a sale person (Tommy) his excuse was he was busy. Which he wasn't. Poor customer service when it comes to returns. Associate scoffed at the fact I was returning an item 40 days after purchase. His exact words were 'Whoa this is way back from November!' He then went into his 30 day refund policy and how most people think it's a 90 day policy, returning items from months ago. What he failed to tell me was the fact that he could still return the item for the lowest selling price within the last 30 days for store credit--part of their policy on the back of the receipt. It's so frustrating when associates would rather quote policy than satisfy their customers. And in this case policy was misquoted and I wasn't quick enough to realize that I had other options before letting him throw away my item because I didn't want it. read more

The customer service at this particular location was wonderful. The moment I walked in the door I was greeted with a smile and a cheery hello! Then when I asked where an item was they walked with me through the store to find it for me and just all in all the customer service was wonderful! I'll be coming back for sure in the near future. read more

Honestly one star is a compliment for this pharmacy. The store itself is fine but the pharmacy people are NOT polite. They always act like me and anyone around are inconveniences - not everyone, there is ONE lady who is the oldest one working there with short light hair who is extremely kind and helpful. Otherwise the younger women are totally out of their league with this job. They have no cares in the world for what they do. That isn't even my problem - fine, give me my prescriptions as if I am ruining your day - but the worst part was when I went to ask for a consult. I've been on this medication for years but ran out early so I asked them what this VERY POPULAR OPIOD would give you if you went off it for several days, like I did (not on purpose.) I have horrible symptoms from the detox and the lady who is supposed to know or at the very least LOOK UP THE INFO on this, told me "I have no idea about withdrawal on this drug." Okay? Are you serious? Then look it up and help me because I'm sick! But she didn't offer that. She just said bye. Thanks for that. read more

Terrible. Every Sunday they never have the in-ad items in stock, let alone the correct signage up. The manager is alway hurrying around putting the signage up while the clueless teenagers running the cash registers pretend to check the stock room for items you have think are in stock sonce they are in the weekly ad. This was the 3rd Sunday in the past month I made a special trip over there for an in-ad item and 2 of the 4 items I wanted were not in stock. read more

I'll give it one star not because I want to. The employees at the pharmacy are so rude. They often refuse to refill my prescriptions until I finally have to argue with them, and have asked me personal questions that are FAR from any of their business! I have often felt violated and harassed. I hate coming here, but it is the closest Walgreens Pharmacy to my home. read more

I came here the other day to have a prescription filled for the first time. I was turned off by this location as soon as my husband and I walked into the store. First, as soon as we walked in, there was a woman restocking the beauty section right by the door and she greeted us, which was very kind. However, when we kept walking, obviously on a mission to get to the pharmacy, she shouted after us and started walking behind us, following, asking if we'd gotten our flu shots yet, which is super uncomfortable and none of her business. Even if that is a corporate requirement, it should sound something more like "Did you know Walgreens offers flu shots? You can get them at the pharmacy". Eventually we lost her and made it to our goal, feeling very uncomfortable. I've never had a prescription filled here nor have I ever been in the store before. I'm not a fan of this pharmacy. It's set up in the back corner of the store and there are no boundaries, so anyone in line behind you can get as close as they please and overhear any of your personal information. I was at the counter for quite some time and the line behind me surrounded me really quickly. There were tons of people in line, at least ten, and it was very disorganized. I felt super claustrophobic because the only way "out" of the mob crowd was to go through them. We tried to have my prescription filled on a Monday, which was the only day that I could have it filled because I wouldn't have a way to get to the pharmacy until the following Friday. We left with the prescription promised for just after 3pm. Not even 20 minutes after we left I received an automated phone call that my prescription was delayed and that they would get back to me, so I waited for them to get back to me. After three hours of waiting they still hadn't gotten back to me so I gave them a call, and apparently for no reason at all my prescription was removed from the queue. They put it back in the wait list and the prescription STILL wasn't filled UNTIL THE NEXT DAY, when I didn't even have a way to go get the darn thing, so I'll be going without my medication until Friday. This place is disorganized to say the least and once I pick my prescription up on Friday I'll be having it transferred and filled at a different Walgreens from now on, even if it's across town. read more

The absolute worst pharmacists. There is only ONE nice lady out of all of them who is an older woman with short hair. So this comment excludes her. The girls that work in this pharmacy treat you like a complete inconvenience. It's actually sad that they are so miserable in their own lives that they feel like they have to treat others poorly. Eric is really nice. I went to have some film developed from my grandpas old minolta camera and the film and the machine were being difficult, which I was kind of expecting. So Eric gave me the negatives and 4 rolls of film for free because my film didn't get developed right, which was so nice. I was upset about it but he was so nice I'm not upset at all. I ended up getting 5 photos from the negatives, not good quality, but I can make out the photos. This made my day after the terrible experience I had at yogurt munch a little walk away from walgreens. I would give 5/5 stars, but I called one time to inquire about their readers. I asked if they had half diopter (point 5) readers. To which some guy told me "yeah, we do" after apparently "checking" and when I got there the lowest they had was a 1 diopter, which is typical. I should have thought it was weird that they would apparently have anything lower than a 1 diopter. But then again, that's why I called and asked to see, and was told the wrong thing. read more

Watching how frantic all these people work stresses me out! They all seem to be stretched way too thin. I moved my prescriptions to another pharmacy. I don't need the added stress of watching them or the worry that they might get something wrong in their extreme haste to place all the orders. I feel sorry for those people. I sat to order pictures and listened as this young, charming young lady worked so patiently with customers, esp the elderly. What a gem! Walgreens- you need to commend and honor this young lady! Awful service last month. I've been using this pharmacy for a while, never had an issue. Usually I would be served by Jaci, who was always efficient and made sure I was in and out as quick as possible. Last month I went in to the pharmacy with a question about a prescription I am on. Wasn't planning on picking one up, just needed to know how many tablets my insurance will cover each month. Now I know, I should have just called my insurance to ask them, but I was near the store so I thought they might have the information. Big mistake. Jaci was not there so I spoke to someone else, not sure of her name. I could not get a straight answer out of the pharmacy clerk. Maybe I was not being clear about what I was trying to figure out. My prescription is for migraines. I apologized to the clerk for being taking her time, told her the prescription is for migraines and they really help and that is why I was trying to figure out how many insurance will cover so I can allocate them over the month and make sure I also have some one hand if I need one. She said that she too gets them. I asked her if she took the same medication, since she brought it up. She told me that she has "just learned how to suck it up". I told her mine are really bad, anyone who get severe migraines knows what I am taking about. She again said no, hers are really bad, implying that I am a wimp because I need to take medication. Maybe that is not what she meant, but with the attitude she had with me, it sure seemed like that is exactly what she meant. I work in healthcare and would never say to a patient who I shared an illness with that I can just "suck it up". Anyway, bottom line, sure wish Jaci had been there that day.
