Photo center. Been waiting for 3 simple reprints. While here multiple customers have come in to pick up their Christmas cards. Customers are unhappy. They have to take home full sheets and cut them out themselves. No word to customers when they will be done if you don't cut them yourself. They don't seem to care. Seem very unorganized today. RE: Walgreens, 3860 Decoto Road, Fremont CA 94555 I was so upset after my visit today, that my blood pressure literally went up (NOTE: I do NOT have high BP.) For context... I've given POSITIVE reviews to Walgreens about particular Walgreens employees. And I RARELY give negative reviews, period. SHORT STORY: I waited over 3.5 hours total to get an Rx for $117 at Walgreens/Decoto (which I learned, later, only costs $38 at Rite-Aid). LONG STORY: Yesterday I called Decoto Walgreens and waited about 1 hour total, because I had to keep calling back (after being on hold for a while, the line would drop, causing me to re-dial). Finally, someone picked up @ Pharmacy. After explaining what I was calling about, "M" put me on hold again, and forwarded me someone at PHOTO. So I explained all over again with the lady in Photo, was put on hold again, and sent back to M. M quoted me a price under GoodRX ($44.53), and later I went to Decoto location to pick up. There were about 3 people in front of me, I waited about 25 minutes. When I got to the front, I was told that it actually costs $167 (not $44.53). When I said I was quoted $44.53, I was asked to wait 5 minutes for "D" who explained to me that: 1) Their Decoto location does not accept GoodRX, 2) M "probably didn't know" this, and 3) although they don't accept Kaiser (which is my insurance), the Mowry location does. I left without the Rx. I called the Mowry location and waited about 25 minutes to speak to Nick, a very nice pharmacy manager who said the Decoto location COULD HAVE filled my Rx through Kaiser. (NOTE: For certain reasons, my Rx could not be transferred. It was stuck at the Decoto pharmacy.) That evening I looked up my prior Walgreens Rx records online (I've been going to Walgreens, at different locations, for many years). I noted that a San Francisco Walgreens accepted SimpleRX in late 2018. I updated my SimpleRX info. The next day (today, Tuesday, 4/21/2020), I tried calling Decoto location again. I was on the phone for another hour (same experience as yesterday). Finally I went to the Decoto pharmacy to sort things out. Here's what transpired: 1. After waiting in line (20-25 minutes), I asked them to fill my Rx. The person said she didn't see any Rx in the system. I told her that the Rx was on file, because they filled it yesterday but I didn't pick up. She asked me to wait for another person who was helping several people concurrently (that other person seemed exceedingly competent, as I watched various employees ask her for help with things they did not understand). 2. After another 15 minutes, the very competent lady asked someone else to help me, who name is M. She was the same person I spoke with yesterday. 3. M said they don't accept SimpleRX either. I advised her that Walgreens SF accepted SimpleRX before (I asked her to verify that in their system). M asked me to stand aside to wait for the pharmacy manager, so that she "can help someone else." 4. "P" confirmed that the Decoto location doesn't accept any prescription discount cards ("coupons") for my Rx. He said,"We can't explain why they [the SF location] accepted SimpleRX, but we [Decoto location] don't." After some prodding, I learned that Walgreens has its own prescription discount card, which is $20/year. I asked how much it would cost under this discount. I was informed that it would be $125 + $20 membership (total $145). 5. I apologized for my frustration as I've been on hold on the phone for 2 days, with no resolution. I was told, "Our phones were down, that is why we put a white sign at the front, to explain that." [BTW, the sign doesn't say this - see photo. Honestly, that would've been helpful.] 6. P & D both spoke to Kaiser (it took about 20+ minutes). D confirmed that their Decoto location CAN process RX's through Kaiser. At that point, I was so frustrated that I just wanted to bring closure. I paid $117 and left. Out of curiosity, I went to a nearby Rite Aid (there, my Rx is only $38). Wow. BOTTOM LINE: I'm objecting to their CUSTOMER SERVICE. 1. M could've called back and said, "Hey, I made a mistake with the price. It's still $167 - sorry about this." 2. Or someone could've simply said yesterday, "We only honor Walgreens' prescription card - no others. Should I look up the price for you?" ...Just anything to let you know they care about their customer, that we're not just a number. Nick (from the other Walgreens) actually showed concern as to whether I was running out of my Rx. My old Walgreens in SF were just as conscientious. The Decoto location really could've handled this much better. read more

Ordered Christmas cards on Sunday and it said they would be ready today after 8:30 Am and they are still not ready. Customer service said "We'll try to get it done, we have a lot of orders. So no guarantee. It is the holidays and we are busy". Update: I called last night and the man working said their cutting machine is broken and they don't know when it will be fixed. So they can't process my order right now. I asked him if he is just making other people wait or if they thought to call people to let them know! You think they would be considerate and call people with Christmas cards ordered and waiting to let them know of the delay. This review is for the Walgreens photo department on Decoto Rd in Fremonf. My parent often got his disposable camera photos printed at this location. He was one of the few that constantly used disposable camera in our modern world. Well, when my parent passed away we had to order his annoucement photos. I ordered them here not knowing its the same location he used for years. When I picked up my order, the gal at the counter asked about my parent and wanfed to know what happened. When I told her he recently passed she was so devastated and said the photo department was wondering, as they hadn't seen him in some time. It felt so nice that they cared. When I got home, my photo order pre paid and there was a note inside of condolence from Mark, a complete stranger who helped my parent print his photos often. You just dont see that these days. So thanks photo department for your kindness. My family appreciated it more than you know. read more

Worst experience,I can't believe this type of pharmacy exists I got my second COVID vaccine today. The pharmacist who administered the vaccine gave me card for first dose after the shot. I told her it's my second dose. She was shocked at first then she said not to worry since both are same. Really,After clearly telling it's my second dose and I also gave my card of my first dose when registering, you still gave me a wrong shot especially during this pandemic. I am shocked and worried. I have never had treatment like that from any other pharmacy or a store, not to mention I am a pharmacist myself that worked and helped customers at a retail pharmacy for more than 22 years but working in mail order pharmacy in the time being .Walgreen management please take patients health seriously and inform your pharmacy employees that the pharmacist in charge has to address prescriptions that are more complicated As a pharmacist myself, I know that it should only be the pharmacists decision to delay a patients perscription ( making the professional judgment to delay a prescription or fill it on time according to the patient's need). My dad had an accident at work and his work comp insurance sent him the prescriptions to this Walgreens. He came there to pickup his prescription and they told him they have not received anything from Washington Hospital. This prompted me to call Washington Hospital to see what was going on and the staff at their urgent care gave me the time they confirmed the receipt of the prescription. After I called Walgreens, they then said the prescription was received but they haven't gotten to it yet. I was able to pickup the prescription which went fine. A week later, my dad had another prescription sent from Washington Hospital to this Walgreens and the same thing happened. He gave them ample opportunity to fulfill the prescription in a timely manner and came to the pharmacy a few hours after his appointment. When he arrived at the pharmacy, they said that they did not receive the prescription and after calling Washington Hospital again, it was sent at 11AM and he was there present in the pharmacy at 3PM. He waited almost 1 hour for them to fulfill a prescription that arrived to their pharmacy hours before. I don't know if saying the "prescription wasn't received" is just an excuse the workers use when they're not caught up with the amount of orders that come in but at least have some decency to actually check instead of blowing customers off. read more

This is our Walgreens pharmacy closest to us to get our prescriptions. I don't really shop here unless I have to pick up my meds. This location is always super busy especially when I can pick up my prescriptions, during the evenings and because it's located on a main street. They never seem to have enough staff. Sometimes, we can be lucky but that is rare. They have the smallest and tightest parking. Not my favorite place to park and I wish they had a drive-thru or is open 24-hours open. Staff are ok most of the time but kind of slow. The store items are pretty well stocked except during the holidays. Prices of their items are a little higher than most but I only shop here if I am lazy to go anywhere else. If your willing to wait in line and have the time to wait, this is the place to shop. read more

Worst customer service ever goes to PAM!!!! Today (New Years) I take my Mom and Grandma to walgreens and my Grandma decides to buy coffee bc it's on sale 4.99 in stead of 6.99. She wants to buy 12 (and let me just say there's a whole end aisle display with well over 100 instant coffee jars. The grinch, PAM, tells us that it's only 3 per customer. I tell her since there are 3 of us, we'll each buy 3 and do 3 separate transactions. She then states that it's 3 per family?! I have never heard of this policy. You can't prove people are family, I can just walk in later. What happened to quality customer service?? U work in this industry, try changing your attitude. So, this is when I get mad & ask her to show me where it says that. She flusters & grabs an ad & states that they have the right to do that, while she points at some fine print (she has no idea what she's talking about). & I know it's just coffee, but who are u?!?! Walgreens regulator?!?! Let my Grandma buy her freakin instant coffee. I then take 6 over to the next cashier & pay with no problem. My cashier was super nice & we wished each other a Happy New Year. All in all, I'm not mad that the policy is 3 per person ( I do understand that) but don't argue with a customer when they follow the rules and want to buy 3 items for 3 different people. If there's a chance for me to rate without stars, that will be great! Since they have online service for refill prescriptions and offer send by mail, I utilize it to have them mail the prescriptions to us. BUT I wonder it ever happened as I've been kicking back and forth between online and local store at Decoto Rd. I ordered the prescriptions online and requested to receive them by mail. I don't know why I keep getting calls and text messages saying the prescription is ready for pick up. Sometimes even saying some prescription is about time to refill, but later they'll tell you it's too soon to refill it. What kind of service is this? If you offer refill online and receive by mail, you should do this instead of kicking me around and ends up I have to go to the local Walgreens for refill. This Walgreens pharmacy is always busy! Aside from the long line that is almost always present, the store staff and the pharmacists are very nice and are patient with their customers. I always see the staff cleaning and stocking the store. They do a great job helping customers find items. Like all other Walgreens, this is a place for all your miscellaneous needs. The make-up prices are still a little more pricey than Target or at Ulta but it gets the job done. read more

Really bad service and apparently the people who works here don't communicate with each other. We asked at the register if they can match their website's online price for the product. Was told no, so we decided to just order online for pickup at the store (which we told them that's what we are going to do). We even placed our order right inside the store. Then we left because they said we have to wait until the online order is processed. Then as we got home, we got a message saying that our order has been canceled because they couldn't locate the items! I went back to the store and asked the lady at the register that I talked to before where she put those items. Then she pulled them out under the counter at the register. I mean, couldn't she have been helpful and bring those items a few steps over to the counter where they process online orders so they can find it or simply put it back on the shelf instead of hiding it away?! After waiting in line for hours you get to the front and guess what...you wait some more because medication is not ready! Today I called to make sure medication is ready and after an hour on hold they hung up after i asked for a manager. I am reviewing the customer service that Ramona in the photo department provided me...I dropped off my film and she advised me that they had a buy one get one free coupon, which I wasn't aware. She went to the front of the store and got the paper and scanned the coupon for me. She was so professional and so nice that I asked if she would be there when I picked up my pictures...she said yes, so I went to get my pictures when she was working. What is the point of a pre-booked appointment time with e-check in only to have to line up with everybody else? Lately, I've been noticing great deals/sales from Walgreens but the items I wanted were out of stock from other locations I usually go to. Since this location is minutes from where I live, I decided to drop by after work. On all of the times I've been here, the employees are very friendly and the store isn't packed. Last night was the last time I was here. When I asked an employee where a certain item was, she didn't seem to know what I was looking for (even though the item was on their ad) but I do give her an "A" for acknowledging me and helping me look for the item. I got notified my son's prescriptions was ready for pickup and I waited 45 min at the window after waiting 15 min in line for them to tell me they didn't run my insurance. The next day I called Rite Aid to initiate a transfer because I prefer Rite Aid to this terrible Walgreens and the Rite Aid pharmacist told me that Walgreens takes forever to transfer prescriptions. I've been to this Walgreens location only a few times. It's not my preferred pharmacy but it's got the basic inventory to serve its purpose. It's rather small though. The pharmacy area is oddly located in the far back corner. When there's a line, it snakes through the back isle and blocks the bathroom and other shoppers. A bit squeezed, I would say. It's as if Corporate is saying, "here's a little corner for you, Pharmacists, now get to work!". This location needs some remodeling.
