Janine is the supervisor of admin at this facility and is beyond unprofessional. I had been waiting…read moredays to be contacted by her after speaking to multiple of her staff members who i have to say apparently follows the unethical and poor customer coat tail of their lead. Janine, has a lack of respect for clients needs and grew very hostile when i expressed the inadequacy of her staff with properly following up on their clients behalf. I was screamed at and hung up on by Janine without reason. I have a major concern for the safety of the residents there and her behavior should not be condoned or allowed. I would not give even a one star review but was forced to for submission.

After completing programs at 2 physical rehabilitation facilities, she was able to move forward to life in an assisted living facility. We had our doubts that any facility would make her happy ... and quite honestly, we've all seen assisted living facilities over the years that didn't look like great places to be. After weeks of searching we found Morningside House of St. Charles and scheduled a tour. Upon walking into the lobby I immediately noticed that the facility looked and smelled clean and is staffed with kind, friendly, proactive people ... EVERY staffer encountered had a kind word and seemed genuinely happy to see us. The facilities are perfect for mom. We chose a 1 bedroom apartment with lots of closet space and an accessible, private bathroom and a nice sized living room space. Mom's meals offer variety and nutrition, and mom's meds are monitored and administered. Additionally, there are many daily activities from mom to choose from and religious services are available for those inclined. There are so many at Morningside House of St. Charles to thank for their care and dedication and their contributions to mom's life and happiness; the front desk personnel, the admissions staff, the nursing staff and the floor staff. I'd be totally remiss however if I didn't express my extreme gratitude to Morningside House of St. Charles Executive Director, Ms. Jennifer Soper who was able to explain the process and whose herculean efforts facilitated mom's transition to assisted living. She even came into work on her day off to facilitate and coordinate mom's arrival. It's scary to think how mom's life would be if not for Morningside House of St. Charles and the kindness of Ms. Soper. I couldn't be happier for the care and living environment that mom enjoys every day. Well done Morningside House of St. Charles!!!

I am a Registered Nurse, along with several of my family members, but we are spread out on the east coast and were unable to meet our mother's daily needs. It took us a tireless year to commit to the fact that our mother needed more than a helping hand. She needed geriatric specialists that would not only tend to her activities of daily living, but to foster her independence among her peers. It has been a very difficult year with COVID, which made this decision such a struggle, but we did our research and was convinced that Morningside was the safest choice. I worked closely with Tajia Lee, Director of Sales and Marketing, who walked me through a step by step process in the most caring and compassionate manner. Tajia showed patience and understanding throughout my personal struggle and allowed me the time I needed to complete this transition. She comforted and walked me through the first few weeks and kept me abreast about my mom's acclimation at Morningside House in the midst of a pandemic. I am so proud to say that my mother is not only doing well, she is thriving. She loves her apartment and praises all of the staff at Morningside House. She has made many friends and is now laughing and participating in activities. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. As a healthcare worker, I can honestly say that the staff and government compliance, regarding COVID-19, has been impeccable at Morningside House. The staff is AMAZING! Administrators, nurses, drivers, caregivers, office staff... every single person who represents Fenwick Landing is a blessing for seniors in their care and their families. My aunt has dementia and the Fenwick day program has been a Godsend for us! My aunt always enjoys her time there. Though her retelling of the details of the day may not be accurate, she has a great time at the center and talks about how "nice" everybody is. I appreciate how Fenwick keeps us informed about the menu, activities, health information, opportunities for immunization and special programs, and any general updates we may need. Whenever there are any questions about my aunt, they call. If she misses days, someone always calls to check on her. They genuinely care about the participants! During COVID, the staff was diligent about maintaining safe practices and ensuring the health of center participants. They enforced the use of masks and informed us if there was ever an incident of someone contracting COVID. They also encouraged and required COVID testing. I could just go on and on about how great they are! There's nothing like being confident that your family is safe and always receiving the very best care. I am SO THANKFUL for Fenwick Landing and the entire staff. I'd give TEN stars if I could. :-)

The love that my mom received was as a family member, not a resident. There were always planned activities and holiday celebrations as well as birthday celebrations. My experience caused me never to use them again, and I used them for other services a few years ago. Timeline: - I was to be picked up at 7:30 am on 27 Oct 2022 to go to the surgery center. Pickup at recovery home on 1 Nov 2022 to go back home. - 25 Oct, money came out of the account for service. - 27 Oct (surgery day), I received a phone call from an employee at 7:08 am (was to be picked up at 7:30) stating the person assigned to be my ride bailed and would not be coming. I then had to find an Uber and pay to get to my surgery center (late). - 27 Oct, I sent an email to another employee, "D," who I had been emailing, explaining my disappointment in the unprofessionalism of the employee who was to pick me up. Bailing on someone on surgery day is terrible and inexcusable, especially since it takes time to get to me from their location. The employee never left and seemingly tried to sabotage my surgery. D apologized and asked if they could still pick me up on the 1st. She said she would "personally work on it" to see it through. - 31 Oct, while I was still in pain and recovering, something told me to call the company. I contacted them to verify I had a ride, and yet again, there were issues. Typical. Apparently, the person who was to get me only had liability insurance. This was totally unacceptable. At the end of the day, they said they didn't have anyone for me. I couldn't hire an Uber for this (due to my surgery), so I had to pay extra to hire a medical transport company at the last minute to take me home. This never should have happened and was not only disheartening but horrible. To leave a recovering patient without the transportation they paid for was despicable and a testament to their overall unprofessionalism. I don't wish for this to happen to everyone. Nothing that was told to me transpired, and I have all the email correspondence as proof. I was given the run around about my refund too. I was eventually told that the "check was in the mail." After hearing that, I filed with my bank to get my refund. Magically, weeks later, the recovery home manager called me and said that a check was sent to them for me. Right at Home didn't even send the check to the right place! I had the business shred it. Now I feel there are serious privacy issues because they couldn't even send my check to the correct location. There was no reason to mix up those addresses. Overall, this was hands down the worst experience I've had with a service I paid for. I was abandoned in my time of need, and I don't wish that to happen to anyone.
