We visited Monday June 3rd, 2018. The water area seemed nice. It's a lake though and there are large fish, water insects and frogs. I would suggest bringing a very large blanket to lay on if you don't want to pay for a chair. There was a life guard there while we were at the park. There are outside showers available to rinse sand and grass off. I wish there were more trees for shade. When were there there were maybe 45 people at the whole lake. My wife says later in the season it's packed, it would be hard to get out of the sun.
The check in area could be updated. When we were there it was only automated, cash only. The machine worked fine but if you have a baby stroller it might not fit through the turnstile. We had to pass our son through and then lift the stroller over the fence. After we left my wife saw someone jumping the fence without paying.
There are some large ants and prickly plants in the grass area. There are some llamas, yes llamas, in a small pasture on the northeast side. There is also a nude portion, Freikörperkultur or FKK, on the east side.
There is a bus stop right in front. We took the #11 bus to and from. There was a food concession area. Pommes frittes/French fries were €2.50. There were sausages and chicken nuggets as well. read more
