I went around 3:30 today and there was no line, which I loved, since my friend posted a picture of a huge line. The shop is cute and cozy, and they use the space well. Immediately I was greeted and asked if it was my first time. I said yes and she walked me through the menu and how it worked. They were out of a few things but that's understandable as it was nearing the end of the day. I got the Lavender Honey drink with 30 mg. I got a banana walnut muffin which was 40 mg. I came here in the morning a little bit after the bakery opened. I wasn't sure if they were open or not since the sign showed that they're still "closed". I walked in to see if maybe I was mistaken since the website showed that the bakery opens at 8 AM. Indeed, I was. How are customers supposed to know if you're actually open or not during your actual business hours? Anyway, I walked in and the lady was really nice. She explained the variety of products they have. I wanted to try out the 9$ 25 MG THC addition to my coffee. The coffee was strong and tasted great in general. However, the addition of the THC made no difference. Brianna is a beautiful soul with a vision to create this great business. While we were walking on Broadway exploring different stores on our way to Whole foods, the name caught my eye "Wake-n-Bakery", I thought oh this sounds good! So of course we go in. The vibe of the bakery is very modern with silly pictures, pictures of Chicago, and a nice little area with Briannas delicious baked goodies (infused with CBD). At our first visit I had a Vanilla Latte with almond milk and CBD, second I just got the Peach Ginger tea (stomach didnt want anything hot). My boyfriend had the Ginger Turmeric tea with CBD and loved it enough to get it at our second visit. On our last day in Chicago we knew this was the spot to go to before our long plane ride home. Underwhelmed by my experience. The cashier was barely engaged even tho I told her it was my first time there. I got the red velvet cupcake which was VERY dense and had a super strong unpleasant flavor, I could not even shove it down for the high. The tea I got wasn't gross but it wasn't tasty either. Went in over the weekend and got 2 White widow lattes and added thc 60mgs. Regardless of the high they were the best coffees we've ever had and perfect amounts of everything. The first I came, the staff already greeted me with such big smiles and of course because of the warm welcome they give towards their customers, it already amazed me. And the staff proceeded to give my menu. And speaking of menu, this place is organized with their delicious food and treats, highlighted with sweet snacks ready to satisfy your cravings.
