This branch of Little Waitrose is quite a small, connivance style store in the centre of Cardiff, very close to the Burton and Dortothy Perkins Superstore as well as Poundland and Mcdonald's.
I have visited here twice now, with this store being quite easy for me being so close to my Hilton Hotel, I stayed at while in Cardiff.
This store is quite decent and uses all the Waitrose offers such as a free newspaper when you spend £5 or £10 on weekends, as well as a free hot drink every day, as well as stocking a decent range of drinks, and snacks etc.
The store is quite compact, so they try to throw everything in they can, which could mean a bad till experience, with the self service scanners being so close to the manned desk, meaning you can literally be touching each other, and it just isn't very comfortable, they do seem to have staff on at peak times but you might be waiting a few minutes if not.
It is also disappointing that this store has not yet upgraded to the format where you can Scan as you shop on your phone, like my local Little Waitrose has at Manchester Piccadilly Station.
The range is satisfactory however it is nothing to shout about and simply something to be expected from the size of the store, however this store does seem slightly worse than other Little Waitrose branches such as Leeds, Manchester Piccadilly and Spinningfields, so sadly I feel this store only deserves two stars. read more
