Then whenever you use it, you "tap on" at a little device that records your fare and how much you have left before you top it up. You can also tap directly with your credit card for contactless payment if you have the symbol on your card. Hornsby is a larger town so it is has a number of trains passing through the smaller villages on the way to Hornsby. It's also a very popular stop because it's right across from Westfield shopping mall and the Hornsby outdoor mall. I have been getting on the train at Lindfield since it's about a 10 minute walk from my bnb. It's fun to look at all the interesting village names: Turramurra, Warrawee, and Waroonga for example. I enjoy riding the train because it gets me where I want to go so no driving is needed.

Some rotten staff members from back in the day that were just horrid human beings to school…read morestudents, including me. However, with their price gouging over the years, there came a day when the music died, and the people needed another reason to stop here. Some might suggest Gillian Day Spa is that reason, others the 1-star cyclery, whilst a great many others would laud praise on the India Tea & Curry House (with Jai Ho coming to the party later). Kipling's Garage Bar which turned an old garage into a funky new bar would be the current frontrunner... I hope to visit one day soon and rekindle my relationship with this station. Alas, it's been a while.

This station appears to exist purely for the Knox Grammar School. I dont think I've ever alighted at this station. Ever. It may be the only one on the entire North Shore line that I never have.

Actually, this station is actually a pretty major railway station in that it provides an…read moreinterchange between two lines, and when they open up the North-East link this will also, for a time at least, be the terminus (though I believe they are going to send the trains straight through to Chatswood). The station is pretty cool though, and has quite a few facilities as well. However, it is the underground section that I particularly like.

I'm cheering on Monday's because it means I am in less of a rush to get to my gym class, and another worthless station gets skipped :) That's our Pymbie, gateway to the worst pub on the North Shore, and an easy stop to skip. Pymbie's weird like that. It kinda plonks you in the middle of nowhere. As someone that grew up in West Pymble I can attest to almost never using this train station in my youth, which seems absurd since my high school was in Waitara. However, the station was so far away that it was really only accessible by bus and anyone that knows Pymble avenue will tell ya that there ain't no bus on this planet gonna get up that hill... so the buses dumped ya at Gordon Station instead. Pymble train station only became a necessary station for me when I took on a job at the golf club behind PLC for 6 years. Even then it was a good 15 minute walk from the station to work (and I was coming via the city because I was studying computer programming at the time). Much like the pub of the same name, this station just ain't my scene!
