All the previous reviews are true. Stay away from Mike Watters. He'll do NOTHING other than make…read morematters worse for you in court. You'll end up advocating for yourself and filling out and submitting the forms to court all by yourself. He'll give you plenty of excuses why, after several months, he hasn't found the time to earn his retainer you paid him and do the work he was hired for, to help your case. Months will go by and you'll end up alone, advocating for yourself. Save yourself and your money. Go with a better or any other attorney. You'll regret hiring Mike Watters.

Mike Welty charged us over $3,500 to review with us the procedure and provide an estimate for administering our family trust after our mother died. He was not awarded the contract and did not administer the trust after we learned he was complicit and conspired with my oldest brother Marc Harris ( Harris gallery in Healdsburg) to defraud the Harris family trust. Evidence includes exorbitant fees in the order of 10X the going rate and having Matt Welty call my other brother (the trustee) in an effort to coerce him into signing an agreement for trust administration we were not comfortable with. In fact, it was that call in conjunction with the proposed fees that tipped us off and caused us to investigate. Marc Harris has a long history of fraudulent conduct and has been a personal friend of Mike Welty for years. It wasn't until the passing of our mother, that we became aware of the extent of Marc's fraud. His conduct included not only absconding the majority of trust funds but also Elder abuse against our mother that was verified by 2 doctors and 6 lawyers. During all of this, Mike Welty was all too happy to do whatever Marc directed him to do. If decency means anything to you, I would suggest you avoid this law firm.

However; if I ever get a message like the one he left me again, I will report him to the State Bar. I still have the message saved and will continue to save it in case anyone else gets a message from him that is unprofessional and will build a stronger case against him.
