Stopped and got waffles. I rarely get waffles when I go to Waffle House. The pumpkin waffle was still available so we decided to get them before they're not available. Our local Waffle House is the best of all Waffle Houses. There are many like it, but this one is ours. The staff is great, always working in harmony and always friendly and enthusiastic. As the world has shut down for storm prep, hubby decided we should get WH breakfast this morning. Along with most of Goose Creek, apparently. It was the place to be at 9:30, and by the time we left about an hour later, it was getting even more packed despite quick turnover. They were serving a Limited Menu this morning due to the need for efficiency, and were running a quick, tight assembly-line-style system that kept food flowing to the stream of hungry mouths. Eggs? Scrambled. No special orders today. Hash browns? You can have cheese, no funny stuff. No steaks, no omelets. The kids can still get chocolate chip or blueberry waffles, so there's something for everyone. No complaints from anyone, as we were just grateful they were open for us. A gentleman waiting for his food called the restaurant to attention to publicly thank the staff for their service, and we all gave them a round of applause, and hopefully huge tips. We definitely did. All Waffle Houses are great, consistent in what they do, but it is the people that make them special. The ONLY reason I gave it one star is because of our server Amy! German roaches crawling over food that is scattered on floor (which was EVERYWHERE) the Veteran next to me had them on his food and flatware at the high bar! Our order kept coming out wrong and the "manager" did nothing. The "manager" argued with staff, got in the way of the servers and NEVER apologized for roaches or incorrect orders. This building needs shut down, cleaned and fumigated! The "management" need dismissed altogether and they need to hire a clean knowledgeable manager. COMPLETELY DISGUSTED! Worst service ever Ordered for pick up and was told 15 min they were late making the food but that is not my complaint. There were missing items from the order when I called about it I was told there was nothing they can do. I'm truly shocked by the raving reviews...perhaps this location has taken a serious nosedive over the past year? Everything seemed dirty-tables, floors, menus, high chair...and they were extremely understaffed. Though our waitress was nice, the wait time for everything was outrageous...including our forgotten bacon that arrived at the end of our meal. The coffee tasted weak and had a distinctive hint of tea flavor as if they use the coffee maker to brew tea as well. The orange juice was worse as it was clearly machine-juice (yuck) and my husband and I simultaneously detected a strong taste of some kind of cleaning product! The food was below average at best. Hit the bathroom on the way out and it was as expected...gross. (10/9/2016, ~1130) My family and I came here while our power was out. We were amazed at how friendly, attentive and hospitable the staff were here. They pulled in staff from neighbouring WH's, to accommodate the surrounding area. Everyone here was on their A+ game! They were packed when we got there, but got a seat within 10 minutes at the low bar, with our toddler. Pur order was perfect, and our waitress (Emily, from a different WH) was courteous, and excellent! I praise all of the men and women who staffed this Waffle House in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew. Even though they had a limited menu due to inventory and unusual staffing, coming here after weathering the storm, of the year, was a breath of fresh air. They earned every penny in TIPS they received this day. Keep up the good work everyone, and thank you very much! read more

This is the best Waffle House in the area and Heather is the best waitress! I've been coming to this Waffle House for after hours food for over 10 years. I've often drove past a Waffle House just to come to this one. I almost always get a Texas Bacon, Egg & Cheese melt, so that's my recommendation. Hey first of all I don't know what it is about this one waitress she was cleaning my table off and every time I go to sit down in that Booth I smell something sour it's usually I just brush off the crumbs on the seat and make sure it's not wet or sticky and then I was I have to meet Lee pull out my hand sanitizer and really soak down on my side of the table and the top in the sides because it smells so horrible I don't even put my arms on the table till I've cleaned it she is using a sour nap King what is it about her every time she is the waitress on that side for me she uses a nasty towel she never likes to clean I don't know if she was just playing around today or what but she hardly ever she's always writing they have these pretty pens and she's always writing or she looks like she's writing things and I have to wait and wait and wait to get her attention to get refills on coffee a lot of the girls just come by and ask you do you want you no more coffee more coffee more coffee you know we're going to drink at least three cups because it's it's refills you get refills but that irritates me so much to sit down to that table and I smell that smell I feel like I'ma throw up and you know that's what it is it's her nasty towel and she why would that early in the morning about nine 8 to 9 the towels me that nasty would they weren't wash last night she don't have no
