Pecan Waffle
Echelon S.

It is disheartening to go to a chain and the food isn't prepared the same. We did carryout. I visited this location as I always go to the 360 & Mayfield store. I order the same everywhere I go. These pecan waffle are overcooked, dry, and lacked flavor. My boyfriend and I had to literally est the edges. There was thick batter. It wasn't crowded;therefore, no excuses for not paying attention to your only job. So, we paid for a portion of breakfast.

It was my first time at a Waffle House!!! I had certain expectations, one being those waffle should be awesome!! I was with 4 friends and we sat at the counter. Let me say first off the staff was super. Friendly, great sense of humor, and in such a small space in the kitchen worked well together. THE FOOD: Of course, I ordered a classic waffle.. it was a little... spongy. Tasted ok, but floppy. I also had a Bacon Cheesesteak Melt, which was really tasty! Coffee was really good!

The Waffle House NEVER disappoints. When I told my son we were coming to Arlington one of the first questions he asked was if we could eat here. I introduced him to Waffle House our last trip here last summer and he ate more than I've ever seen him eat before! The food was cooked perfectly to order, despite being really busy the wait time was rather quick. The wait staff was very attentive and would bring refills when needed. The food is EXCELLENT!! Hashed Browns were cooked crispy as I asked for. The Bacon Egg and Cheese Hashbrown bowl didn't stand a chance once my son started eating. He's a very picky eater so I'm beyond glad that we found a place that I know he'll enjoy and not leave the food nearly untouched. The servings are generous and flavorful. You might have a short wait depending on the time you go, but it's well worth the wait. Looking forward to coming back!!

I absolutely love Waffle House. I hope I got the right location. Rere was a sweetheart she made Waffle House experience better. Food is delicious. I'm from California but anytime I'm in the south I make sure to locate a Waffle House. If you've never been then you MUST. We can never finish the food it's just so much.

I loved it! I say…read more"I" as my wife wasn't as big a fan of the food as I was. We had reservations in a busy Saturday night and were seated at a comfortable 2-top. They were about full when we arrived. Not so much when we left. While I thought there was a game tonight - it's the Eagles in concert at one of the nearby stadiums. Because it was packed when we arrived, the space was fairly loud. Cheyenne was our server and she did great. She knew the menu well and made some suggestions. We had already read the Yelp reviews and sort of knew what we wanted. Two of us shared: - Margarita rocks - Pan con Tomate - Crispy Pork - Jerk Chicken Paella The Pan con Tomate was amazing. Really cool presentation too. The Crispy Pork was real nice. A bit dry due to making it crispy. Really meaty too. The Jerk Chicken Paella was great. Cheyenne told us the jerk seasoning wasn't very spicy. She was right. I would have liked it spicier though but understand the decision to appeal to a broader section of diners. The socarrat was amazing. They make the paella in a small (8"?) cast iron skillet. It made for a perfect caramelization of the rice (socarrat). The dish had jerk seasoned chicken thighs and vegetables. Yum! I would have loved to have the Coconut Cake. But we were full and it was $22. We'll come back to Cafe Americana and try other dishes and the cake!

I decided to enjoy the Korean bibimbap and what a treat! It comes as a bowl with rice, shaved beef and a handful of various veggies. It has a slight kick of heat that blends well with the salty veggies. I was able to get most of this dish down as it's so flavorful. I wanted to try dessert but was too stuffed from my entree. Maybe next time. There's always plenty of seating and parking here. If you're into sports the bar area is also well equipped with TVs and more. Lastly I wanna mention our wonderful waitress Sarah. Every time I go to Lazy Dog I order Hush Puppies for appetizers. It includes 4 puppies and dipping sauce, which has a perfect type of bite. I ordered a burger with a brioche, always a good choice, fries. The brioche had Lace Dog's special sauce, lettuce, tomatoes and Gouda cheese. Lazy Dog is always low lightened, which makes it hard to see your food or companion across. It does have a date night vibe writing all over it. In my opinion, too dark. I could barely see my food.

The fritto misto was the perfect amount of crispiness. The lumache was saucy like it like it and had just the right amount of spice. The chicken Parmesan was a nice size and flavorful. I came for the pizza: the dough and marinara were good, but they topped it with a cold white cheese (stracciatella) that cooled the entire pizza down quickly, was gross, and ruined it. I would have ordered a regular cheese pizza had I known their margherita doesn't use the standard mozzarella you'd typically expect, especially since their website shows a traditional margherita, which is not at all what I received. My husband ordered the lumache rigate, and it also came with the same cold white cheese in the middle, which made the dish lose its heat almost immediately, and again, the cheese was not good. I had high hopes for this place, but it ended up being a big disappointment. To top it off, valet took 24 minutes to bring our car around. Overall, not a great experience, and unfortunately, we won't be back.

He was wonderful throughout our visit ensuring we never lacked for anything. My wife and I ordered a fried chicken dinner and a vegetable plate. A few visits back we learned the little trick. Ordering the two separate plates we don't end up taking a lot of chicken home. The fired chicken dinner includes the white meat my wife likes and the dark meat I love plus unlimited veggies for the both of us. It's the perfect dinner for the two of us. I had to really think if I should review this restaurant or not. It had a hard start and got worse…read moredue to a snobbish bartender named Colby. I don't live in Arlington and just recently moved from Dallas to Ft Worth. While looking at properties in Arlington for the day, this looked like a great stop. The reviews were mostly strong and the pictures I could see reminded me of my favorite Dallas steak fix, Bob's Chophouse on Lemmon. It doesn't have that vintage, chic atmosphere sadly, but it is old TX, steakhouse, 80's style. Colby asked if we wanted a menu and I said yes. He brought one for us both. I asked if they had any happy hour specials which is mentioned often in their reviews. He haughtily informed me that, "They don't do happy hour" and then giggled. Yes, giggled, the only other description is snickered. We ordered a Tito's Dirty Martini and Guinness and decided to stay anyway. He served my martini slushee and a good pour on the Guinness. He simply never came back. Everyone else had nuts and their orders taken. He avoided us as if we had the Bubonic plague. After his pointed non-service, I dropped my credit card, he snatched it and dropped the check. Obviously, I won't be back but I think that was the entire point of his service.
