I feel like this WaBa Grill is always hit or miss. I've been here multiple times when I'm just trying to get some quick chicken and rice and the food is always either fresh and good, or stale and kind of gross. The service is nothing special. Just somebody who generally doesn't seem happy to be there taking your order which is fine because it's just waba grill. The ambiance is the same as every other one and you're not going to remember it once you leave. Ordered 2 bowls and the potstickers. Everything tasted fresh and the food was out really quickly. Not sure about the negative reviews, but I didn't experience anything negative. This was my first time visiting not just this WaBa but any WaBa Grill. It was a perfectly fine experience. I only ordered take out so this review is basically about the food. My mom visits this location all the time and she has always had a good experience. Normally food 'to go' isn't that good when you finally arrive home but this place is an exception. It tasted just fine! We had some veggies at home so I ordered a couple chicken bowls without the veggies. I also requested white meat chicken and they said they would do their best to give me more white meat at no extra charge! I did pay extra for the avocado and it actually went very well with the meal. The bowl was plenty of food for one person. I wasn't very hungry so I only ate half my bowl for dinner and enjoyed the rest of the bowl for lunch the next day. I know people mentioned the service is typically not the best but my server was just fine. He was friendly enough and very patient with me as I stumbled through the menu as I had never been there before. Maybe I just got lucky but I had a great experience! Every time I go to this establishment they are rude, or the food is not up to part. This time around I went at 10:25 pm as I was making my way into the drive thru I saw two employees looking out the window and a male and female looked right at me and shook their heads. As I made my way around to the speaker where you place your order no one answered. I made my way to the window and the two employees went to hide in the back. I'm very upset given the fact that it was 10:25 pm not 11pm and all I wanted was some ice cream and chili cheese fries. I'm more upset that they saw me and still felt entitled to nod their heads at me and go hide and not take my order while still open while another customer was behind me as well. This is not the first time this place closes before the posted closing time. On top of having experience bad customer service on previous occasions. This incident took place 4/13/2024 10:25 PM so if the owner sees this review I hope they take the proper protocol to deal with these two employees that worked this PM schedule at the Yucaipa Establishment. We need more responsible people who want to work and are not lazy and entitled to close whenever they choose to. I will be reaching out to corporate as well. read more
