Went in today for lunch and holy crap! The place was a mess yet no one was in there eating. No employees to be found either, I waited at the register for a few minutes. Once employees showed up they didn't even WASH THEIR hands once entering from the dining area to go make the food!!! The girl at the register didn't even ask me if I wanted a drink with my meal. Which led me to go back up and have to get a drink. My boyfriend came in waited for employees to get off their cell phones and ordered his food and I told him what happen to me and then he started watching their employees more. One of the guys handled a dripping trash can, took it to the dumpster in front of the store and then handled food without washing his hands!!! Then a girl working named Samantha scratched her nose and face with her gloves on and then grabbed a handful of chicken!!!!! My boyfriend asked Samantha if he could speak to a manager and she stated she was, so he told her how disgusting that is and that it is legally a health code violation, HUGE!!! She brushed it off like it was nothing, didn't apologize, then told him she knew where he worked as if to make a threat. He asked for the actual General Mangers number and she said no. My boyfriend didn't want a refund or free food he just wanted it brought to her attention that it's not okay and she handled it very unprofessional. I frequent waba grill 4 + times a week all over the Inland empire. This one is always a bit more expensive since I choose brown rice and white meat chicken. They charge extra for both which is normal for the white meat but not always on the brown rice. They were out of white meat chicken and steak this visit and we're very conservative with the portion of chicken,which was also weird , it was shredded which seemed odd to me , I won't be back to this one . read more

They received one star only because you can't give them zero. Let me list the problems. The miso soup came from a packet. I can make instant miso myself. Veggies is plural, broccoli and broccoli stalks do not count as two veggies. The chicken was awful, it tasted like it had freezer burn. The cashier forgot to give us fountain cups and then the soda fountain didn't pour correctly. I ended up throwing my drink away. The chopsticks should me named splinter sticks. The food was good and served quickly but the soda from the machine was flat. After I pointed it out they messed with the bottles but it was still flat. I checked a few more times and it was still flat by the time we left. A refund was given easily enough upon request but what would have been better is if someone would have actually checked after thinking it was "fixed". I absolutely love waba grill. Just not this one. I've been back at least 3 times and every time it's been a disappointment. Service is never great. Idk why the food at this location just tastes different. I hate that they can never cut the meat right so I always get these huge chunks of meat I've even tried asking but still the same. While my husband ordered our food he was told, "Drinks are on us, but we do like tips." Personally I find this to be poor customer service. As a server or customer service, you should never ASK for a tip. My husband told me about a previous time he was there. He was asked if he could pay in cash, the customer service representative would give him a discount. I really hope the owner is aware his employees are giving away drinks in exchange for tips. I use to not be a big fan of WaBa Grill, but I went a couple more times and the customer service and food was better. I usually just get the white meat chicken bowl with white rice. I highly recommend this place if you want to life a healthier lifestyle and/or trying to lose weight, it's low in calorie and the food is made fresh. read more

I have been here several times and I keep getting disappointed. I understand there are bad days and that's why I keep coming back thinking it was just one of his days. Unfortunately I don't think this is the case. I always get the two chicken bowl special. After I open my bowl I wonder what happened to the chicken!!!!! It never fails there is always a very small portion. It's like they tease you with the special and then take one serving of chicken and split it between the two bowls. It's ridiculous! It's not just one time, it's every time. On top of that, the flavor doesn't match any other waba I have ever been to. The quality here needs to improve. I have eaten at other Waba Grills before and have had great food. However, this particular locations misses the mark when it comes to their grilled chicken. The chicken doesn't taste fresh and it is a little mushy. It doesn't have that grilled taste or appearance like other locations do. I ordered Chicken Salad Plate. The chicken was good and the salad was huge but no dressing even though I did not mind that part but others might. My grand daughter ordered the Rib Plate and here is where the issues happen. Flavorful enough but I kid you not some of the riblets were so over cooked they were as hard as the bones!! Lots of fat too. Maybe it was not the healthiest choice but it is what she wanted and the meat was so over cooked it was black. We will return to try out again but NEVER will we order the ribs. We normally order the chicken bowl, and the meat always seem rubbery to me like they cooked it in the morning and heat it up when you ordered. Every once in awhile I'll get white rice where it's under cooked making it hard. Last time we were there, my girlfriend got sick ( I was fine). read more

Looked up reviews on Yelp and wasn't sure where this one was but determined it was the Highland location after I left. I asked for white meat chicken and brown rice with vegetables. They were out of white meat chicken. The man that tried to take my order looked unkempt and confused. I won't give this place another chance. They just didn't look clean and ready for business. I walked out and found somewhere else to eat. I will give the location in San Bernardino a try. I love these places that have fresh food and other locations have a good bunch of reviews. I love Waba. However, the Highland site on Greenspot is the worst site I have been to. I have been there twice. The floor is always dirty with trash under the tables. The kitchen is always unkempt. You're hesitant to eat the food you're served. The last time I was in, the young man at the register with a long beard hovered closely over a patrons soup smelling it saying "I love miso soup". If you don't want sauce on your chicken make sure to tell them, because it would be good with just some lemon squeezed on top! Came back after a looong while of not wanting to come back and what do u know it's even worse!!! Didn't think an establishment could get any worse but it's horrible! Nice fresh, tasty, healthy food for you that is a good source of protein and complex carbs and healthy fats if you are into the fitness/bodybuilding lifestyle. I usually get the half-half bowl with brown rice and avocado added. Pricing is reasonable, some may say a little high but its not that bad at all if you get just the bowl without the vegetables. Service is usually fast and the ingredients have always been fresh and tasty, especially the brown rice and avocado, I can tell the avocado is always new. The brown rice is pretty tasty and the flavors mix real well especially with the teriyaki sauce they provide. Overall a good spot to eat if you don't want to eat bad. But right after you're done you can go right next door and ruin your fitness goals for the day by getting some yogurt from Major Brain Freeze, one of my favorite yogurt spots. read more
