First time here wasn't good. After spending $100 on fried rice, wings and ribs, my ribs was hard as rocks, unchewable. Seriously, unchewable. These ribs was at least a week or two old. You couldn't eat them. A few of my wings wasn't completely cooked. Blood still gushing out of the middle. We got home and had to put them in the oven to finish cooking them. I love a good, no frills American style-Chinese food/takeout restaurant serving all the usual favorites. W Kitchen is a great place to go for food taste, value, and service. No complaints. First off, parking was plentiful. Walking inside we were quickly treated and seated. The restaurant is clean and inviting. The menu is quite extensive - but I went with as basic as I could...if you can nail these dishes down, A+ in my books. Chicken and broccoli - very good! So I came back to try again. The staff is always super friendly and I know they cook to order but that doesn't mean it tastes good. My rice was super mushy and full of rice clumps, my pork bbq ribs were full sized and not nearly as grilled or bbq'd like I'm used too. This was a terrible meal and I spent $30. lol I came here because of Tik Tok. I didn't get a traditional Chinese meal, I came here after a long night of turning up and needed something to revive me that was easy to eat. I ordered chicken nuggets, fries and eggrolls. They were doing service via calling your order from the window which I'm sure was Due to safety reasons. The eggrolls were good. The fries were not seasoned or salted and id give those a 2/10. The chicken nuggets came with sweet and sour sauce but the smell and taste was too similar to cough medicine and it was absolutely giving me a headache so I used ketchup instead so it was meh. Garlic fried rice was my least favorite. I ordered spicy but the seasoning they used was very off putting. Unfortunately, the rice tasted a bit stale. I will say that they did serve very large portions for the price. I would consider these prices very affordable compared to other Chinese restaurants that I've been to. I ordered the lunch portion of the pineapple chicken and even without the sauce the chicken had great flavor and was surprisingly not dry! The sauce was a great accompaniment! I don't eat pork, that is to say only when the hubby is out of town long enough for me to eat it and then get it out of my system! Anyways lol I also ordered the bbq ribs, which I hadn't had since I was a kid because well I don't ordinarily eat pork so I forget all about them! I was genuinely pleased at the taste, it brought back many childhood memories and I was was so surprised at how the taste was exactly how I remembered it! The owners were great very much on top of the service! They were constantly making sure we very ok and that we didn't need anything else! This is a sweet spot to have close by when you're wanting something past 11pm. It may be busy, but their service is quick with 15-20 minutes. If you want a quick Chinese meal and aren't super picky on it being high end this is the spot. I like their dinner plate option that gives you the entree with the soup and a side. I was looking for a lunch special nearby. Plus Yelp Elite member Lu C. gives this restaurant five stars. Lunch specials are $7.25 and it's a complete meal. I had a choice of soup first. I chose egg drop. The quantity was generous and served in a cute dish. Then I had shrimp with veggies. It comes with an egg roll and steamed rice. You get a choice of brown or white sauce. The waitress was attentive and came to offer more water. I'm a small eater so have dinner now. The W is prominent throughout the restaurant including on the tables.
