This is a wonderful independent Book store run by people who really know what they are talking…read moreabout. If you are ordering the same thing from Amazon, don't. Go and talk to them as they read everything that comes out. In just a few minutes with me, my wife and my son, all book lovers, they have opened up a whole new world of books with new authors and new genres. They order in anything they haven't got and take the time to keep an eye out for you with what is happening. It's the only non internet store I use as their personal service cannot be replaced. It's really pushed me out of my comfort zone.

This little book shop is right in the middle of the town centre, on the terrace, opposite WH Smith!…read moreIt is jammed packed full of books, and being a privately owned shop, the staff are much more knowledgeable than a bigger variety such as Smith's, which tends to employ youngsters who will have little idea about how to answer questions other than when can you get a copy in?. The prices are competitive, and the selection wide. Having used it several times, asking for help if you can't find what you are looking for is a must, without feeling obliged to purchase. Just because it is a small outlet, don't think you will see high prices. You won't.

Browsers is a great second hand bookshop hidden away inside St Georges arcade, the place looks…read moresmall from the outside but opens up and has a second storey, the books are packed to the ceiling. They cover pretty much any area and the books are all really well priced, great for saving money, I often pick up books that appear to never have been read. Also, on the outside racks just behind the mills and boone books is the sci fi section with a great selection of really trashy sci fi, some absolute gems can be found here for only a pound or two each!

The cafe is very pleasant, open and spacious with a friendly service - the coffee is excellent and the carrot cake a moist deliciousness. Prices are reasonable and there is a nice selection of snacks and even more substantial menu items. Highly recommended.

Loads of places to buy your real Cornish Pastie. We did and it was delicious. TIP; if driving then parking is a real pain. Most car parks are high up and it's a steep walk down and back again. Try taking the Park and Ride train from St Erth. Reasonable price with fab views from the train. Then a short reasonably flat walk to the harbour.

Worst custermer services I have ever had…read more pop In to ask for change for the parking machine , and was told that they didn't do something but I could buy something , spent £1.20 and didn't take the item as it would have gone to waste. Then the lady (guessing the owner) told me because I paid with a £10 note I had use all her change, (1030 am Saturday morning with 3 banks with in 2 minutes walk of the shop door) , I left and came back to complain as I was very busy . My complaint was not about paying but the way she moaned and how bad her service was, when I tryed to complain she didn't listed and moan at me about banks and charges, and basically shouted at me that i "came in expecting change" ( even tho I came in and asked "if there was any chance of change" and just told me just to leave. I told her I would not be back and that was "no skin off her noise" no wounded her shop is empty on a Saturday morning in a busy town centre.

I went in December 2009, when few of the units were open but was still able to get a good selection of Christmas presents. The units are in the car park behind The Sloop Inn. They are dog friendly.
