Browsers is a great second hand bookshop hidden away inside St Georges arcade, the place looks…read moresmall from the outside but opens up and has a second storey, the books are packed to the ceiling. They cover pretty much any area and the books are all really well priced, great for saving money, I often pick up books that appear to never have been read. Also, on the outside racks just behind the mills and boone books is the sci fi section with a great selection of really trashy sci fi, some absolute gems can be found here for only a pound or two each!

Go and talk to them as they read everything that comes out. In just a few minutes with me, my wife and my son, all book lovers, they have opened up a whole new world of books with new authors and new genres. They order in anything they haven't got and take the time to keep an eye out for you with what is happening. It's the only non internet store I use as their personal service cannot be replaced. It's really pushed me out of my comfort zone.

Done the lottery this week this is the place to go, they are quite a lucky shop with many a winner buying his or her ticket there, and what about the advertising in the window, you can pick up fantastic bargains all year round. The staff are helpful and cheerful, always ready to help, great service and the shop has a good supply of everthing you might need, from newspapers and your favourite magazine to "cold" drinks and chocky bars, crisps, ice cream, cigarettes and much much more!. Pop in everyone knows where the "Choc Box" is and so should you when down is Newquay.

Stocks a good range of papers and magazines and comics for the little ones, as well as the usual sweeties, crisps, drinks and basics like milk. Prices are average but service is provided with a smile. The shop is very useful for local residents as it sports a very helpful notice section on the right flank of the building notice of anything from cars and bikes to furniture, rental property and jobs. Good for people coming to do a summer season and looking for a room in a shared house without the expense of picking up a local paper from inside!
