The staff were very helpful and didn't get upset when I accidentally knocked over several containers of pens on the counter... oops! Easy to spend half an hour in there and come out with a pile of stuff you really didn't need and probably won't ever read, but had to buy because it had a huge discount on the RRP. Lots of budget art supplies - great for gifts. Close to Thorntons & Cadbury's shops, always a bonus!

The staff always take the time to chat to you about the latest releases, and what you are currently reading. In this shop, I was recommended a comic that introduced me to what now is one of my favourite comic book characters - the Scarlet Spider. There's a little desk and a seat to read on, and a quite a range of action figures too. The only problem is that it's a little small, but I guess that adds to the charm!

Every time I go to Doncaster with my son, we visit Waterstones. It's like a family afternoon out in…read moreitself. They have a lovely children's section (which is where I spend most of my time these days). There are some fish on display and a little table where the kids can look at the books. Sometimes, they have little activities on Saturdays, such as storytelling, etc. Costa coffee is right next to the children's section which is perfect as we can then go and have a cup of tea. My whole family loves it!
