This is a must see attraction when you come to the Eidfjord. This is the most beautiful fall in Norway. This fall is about 300 meter height. There are two parking spots. One on either sides of the falls. Our bus stop at the hotel section. Our walk is downward to the cross stair bridge. The walk down needs some skill due to steep slope. But the view rewards is great. The upper fall view is more clear. The top view points has both water view down to the river below. It is beautiful to see both of the waterfalls meet at the bottom. That is a million dollars view. It was magical to see a rainbow in the falls! We walked along the road path of the lower entrance and had a view of the water and mist dancing behind the colors. There are two parking lots to view the falls, but we enjoyed the view from the first parking lot much better. Plus you can go past the bottom of the big staircase in between the canyon and see the main waterfall, which then branches off. Expect to do a little hiking to see some of the sights, the paths can be quite rocky, but there is a rail for support. There are multiple platforms that jut out over the cliffs that were terrifying to me, but were obviously well made and safe. The facilities were really nice. There are bathrooms in the parking lot and benches all throughout the trails. I can see why Vøssinger is the most visited waterfall in Norway, it's a must see if you're going to Hardangerfjord. read more

This place is pretty awesome. Eidfjord was our 4th stop in Norway on our Holland America cruise. I think the water fall was one of the biggest attractions here so we decided to purchase tickets for the small black bus that shuttle us here. Tickets were 275 NOK per person so came out to be around 31.86 USD. Bus left at 10am. Took like around 25min to get there from the dock. We had to be on the bus back at 11am. That just left us with only 30min to take photos and look at the scenery. Way too rushed in my opinion but we did it anyway and everyone else did as well. Came with a free coffee. The views are pretty amazing here. The waterfall is not as big as Niagara Falls but the nature and the pristine look of the earths natural beauty was pretty worth the trip up. There are railings that are in place to give you the opportunity to take better photos but please be careful because you might drop your phone by accident and you definitely can't retrieve it. Go on a beautiful sunny day and make sure to savor in God's beautiful creation if you do get a chance to see! read more
