It was magical to see a rainbow in the falls! We walked along the road path of the lower entrance and had a view of the water and mist dancing behind the colors.
There are two parking lots to view the falls, but we enjoyed the view from the first parking lot much better. Plus you can go past the bottom of the big staircase in between the canyon and see the main waterfall, which then branches off. Expect to do a little hiking to see some of the sights, the paths can be quite rocky, but there is a rail for support.
There are multiple platforms that jut out over the cliffs that were terrifying to me, but were obviously well made and safe. The facilities were really nice. There are bathrooms in the parking lot and benches all throughout the trails.
I can see why Vøssinger is the most visited waterfall in Norway, it's a must see if you're going to Hardangerfjord. read more
